Ab aate hai Phantom pe Phantom production cost is high its shot outside india and both UTV and Sajid need to earn profits its too early to say it all the money can be made by theatrical. The wom is mixed jo hai average.

Good observation!!!! But one point to be noted here is piku had fab fab fab social media buzz... phantom had very low social media buzz. Inspite of being in contravery it wasnt blown out of proportion by media even a day before release there were no article about phantom on pinkvilla. While piku was given strong buzz. I remember few fan boots had already diclared phantom as flop before release over here.

even a valentines day gives 20 % jump.Raksha bandhan is a partial holiday.30% jump is equal to a non holiday.So Saturday opening is effectively -20%.

Khans movies r alwsys over hyped by cricts as well as strong fanbase they enjoy. Khans movies are alwsys about hype media loves them n its funny even critics say that its masala portboiler so leave ur brains home. Everybody just love them. And drishyam did pretty good even ajay said in interview that he is satisfied with drishyam response. Drishyam had pretty good WOM. About phantom we will know, theater going audience is loving it. WOM always helps a movie.

They controlled the budget, thats why we saw very little promotions , even trailer was released just a month back. And they will even recover money thtough stalite rights. I think even if the movie makes 30-35 crores weekend they will recover the money by other means. Its a profitable affair.

Budget is high of Phantom higher than Drishyam. Drishyam is not a Hit you'd know it soon BOI declared it. BOI is going to put status bhi jaldi with figures. Hit, flop decided by theatre domestic collection only, na satellite rights se, na home video ya music rights se. The collection needs to bring profits. Sn alone has to get minimum profit of more than 45 cr plus from theatrical run alone effect to his alone ka lagaya hua paisa. cant forget UTV share is still undeclared by them. By releasing it on 2600 screen they committed big mistake because this is a pure multiplex and big city movie. WOM is mixed for a content dependent movie is not good news.

Movies like Phantom don't always work...it's not everyone's cup of tea yet 8.46 cr opening with no hit songs or huge buzz is GREAT! Piku and Phantom can't be compared either..as Piku is a family entertainer while Phantom is not yet it made more than Piku.

So PROVEN, Katrina's BO pull is MASSIVE !!
