Salman fails to keep up his promise!

Salman Khan is known for all the philanthropic work that he does for the needy. Be it contributing to his NGO Being Human or any other individually. Salman's helpful nature has always been appreciated from all ends.

Recently during the filming of his last blockbuster, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, when the superstar was shooting in the valleys of Kashmir; he was extremely moved by the poor conditions in which the locals have been living. The generous hearted actor reportedly had adopted a family there, which comprises of a 75-year old lady, her 40-year old daughter and her four grandchildren. He had even offered to help them financially and get the grandson settled in Mumbai. Salman has sot the construction the house started. He had also given Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, 18 and the only boy in the family a job in the art department of the movie. But now when the shooting is over and Salman has left the valley, so has all the resources.

Gowhar Ahmad Bhat that said to a leading daily that the work of their house has stopped mid-way, since the promise made to them hasn't been kept up and money too has stopped coming in. He further said, "I've tried to call his (Salman's) bodyguard, Shera, several times. He never answers and sometimes his phone is out of reach. Before the release of the film, they would call us, but now they've stopped taking our calls. I've left my studies and I'm looking for odd jobs to support my family, still hoping that Salman Khan will keep his promise to us." [sic.]

A local contractor who has been working on the house also claims that a pending amount of more than two and half lakhs is yet to reach them. But all his attempts to procure the amount have been futile.

However, a source close to Salman informed that Salman has no intention of back-tracking on his promises. Since Gowhar is the only male child in the family, he needs to take up a job nearby. So they've requested a few people for a job in the valley. As far as the construction work goes the source claims that the work is still in progress and that the house would be ready in about a month. He source further said, "Once the house is complete we will send picture of it and you will see for yourself that Salman kept his promise."
