Currently.

Overall - SRK
Salman
Aamir

The topic is about star power. Star power is box office only.

Things like wealth, net worth etc have nothing to do with star power.

Starpower means number of fans in my opinion

LOL!

Many stars have fans. It doesn't matter.

Star power is not judged on basis of personal opinion alone.

It is about how much crowds a star draws at ticket counters.

Someone like Akshay has more fan clubs than Aamir but he's not even comparable to Aamir in reality. That's the distinction of true star power.

I didn't mean fan clubs online on twitter and facebook. I meant the fans in the real world not necessarily just the diehard fans but even the casual fans will do. Box-office might be based on a lot of factors actually like who's the director? how's the movie itself? no?

In terms of raw star-power?

Salman > SRK > Aamir

Salman only had like what 6 Hits from 2000 - 2009 and he was still considered 3rd behind Aamir who had like 6 in around 8 movies and SRK had a huge 11 Hits in lesser movies than Salman I think. Plus, Salman had no BBs when Aamir had 1 record-breaker and SRK had 3 BBs.

If being a 'star' is just based on Box Office then I feel the concept itself is very flawed. It means that success and failure of movies is basically credited to/blamed on the actors which is so not true (and unfair considering the amount of people involved in making a film).

How does one know how many people who watched the film did so because of the actor in question? My parents watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan, they're far from being Salman Khan fans. They watched it because it looked like a good film from the promos, they didn't care two hoots about who was starring. I didn't bother watching Talaash despite the fact that currently, I like Aamir's work more than anyone else's. The film just didn't appeal to me despite the stellar cast.

For whatever reason the term might have been coined, it is used pretty loosely now. I feel stardom is intangible and comparisons of names as huge as these three cannot reach a definite conclusion. The 'number' of fans is so big that it has to be based on perception, one cannot physically count.

From what I observe, Salman has an edge over SRK based on the extent to which his fans love him. I doubt SRK has followers that would attempt suicide if he's sentenced to five years in prison. A sizeable portion of Aamir fans are pragmatic just like himself. They're more into the kind of films he does and what a good actor he is. I don't see them sticking through his 'thin' time the way SRK and Salman fans did with their respective favourites.

So my conclusion is: Salman > SRK > Aamir. Having said that, they're all so established it hardly matters. Rather it shouldn't matter and it's quite sad that it does. Not even blaming the fans really but the stars themselves. Their ego clashes for no.1 position are not entertaining anymore, they're embarrassing for men their age. So I am hoping this 'calm' we have right now is here to stay.

Actually they dont bother about being no.1 ,2 and 3 too. If that was case why would SRK and Aamir release BB's first look, why would Aamir promote BB extensively after watching it and even Salman talked about Raees on twitter despite Raees clash with his film Sultan.
This things just matter to their fans and I am sure they will laugh on this number game.
Fact is that all three khans are equally loved and adored not only in India but around globe and their movies are looked forward to every year😊

All Khans are equal in Popularity . Different people love them for different reasons . That is why even close to 50 they all three are shining like STARS . Although I am Huge Salman Fan & don't like Aamir & Shahrukh individually ..But Still I can't & I won't deny this Fact that They all Three worked very hard to achieve this Feat . HATS OFF to them 👏⭐️

All those are very sweet gestures but they seem to be a little TOO fine with each other atm. Fishy😳

I too believe that fans take the whole ranking business a lot more seriously than the actors themselves but I don't think they're completely indifferent to it. There is always an underlying current of rivalry whether they acknowledge it or not. It doesn't help that the tiniest war of words is blown out of proportion. On a personal front, they genuinely seem to be okay though and have deep regard for one another.

I do agree with your last statement. They all have their unique appeal which is all the more reason why 1/2/3 shouldn't matter. Their cinema is so different from each other that everyone can coexist like one big happy 'Khan-daan'😆
