(spoiler) Drishyam: Why show police weak?

Drishyam ending could have been different.

Tabu was shown as an intelligent cop who was able to guess every move of Ajay Devgan but was not able to gather any evidence.

She tried every possible move to outmaneuver Ajay but failed.

Aggressive strategy wasnt working, but in the end they show emotional strategy worked and Ajay did confessed.

They could have shown Tabu( as a cop) Wins with confession evidence But... Rajat Kapoor(Father) and Tabu(Mother) let go just the way they did in the movie...

In this way the would have shown Police academy weak and criminal getting his way out.

Though Ajay confesses in the end...its not really a confession. They cannot prove anything in court. Plus they never found or even guessed where is Sam's body.

It's actually a way of showing how "criminals" can outmanoeuvre police. Ajay's confession at the end was cryptic. They couldn't have proven anything.

The movie could have been more intelligently plotted like the novel Suspect X. I didn't like the show of aggression and they didn't capitalize on Tabu's intelligence as much as they should have.

Confessions like that don't work in court.
