Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed 19 crore nett in its third weekend taking its seventeen day total to 289 crore nett. The third weekend is the second best of all time after PK which had grossed 26.50 crore nett in its third weekend. The third weekend for PK was an open weekend while here there was a major release like Drishyam. Drishyam may not have scored in its first weekend but a release like this does hit scren space.
It is now certain that the film won't beat the lifetime nett figure PK which was 338 crore nett but in terms of distributor share it is could be very close.
The lifetime nett business of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is looking to end at around 315 crore nett which would be 20 crore nett plus short of PK. The distributor share of PK was 161 crore and in seventeen days Bajrangi Bhaijaan has a distributor share of 148 crore. It may reach the PK figure and if it fails it will only be by a very small margin.
