Kind of like how Aamir gets credit for Raja Hindustani though he was flopping and Karishma had more hits than him.

Wasnt Beta (1992) a blockbuster before HAHK? She became known as dhak dhak girl since then! She was hugely popular at that time and even won best actress award for Beta.

And before that Dil was a superhit in 1990, she got a best actress for that one too!

And even before that she was the Tezaab girl in 1988 which made her famous, that movie was a blockbuster as well and hugely popular for her ek do teen dance number!

People used to flock to the theaters to see her dance numbers, in HAHK too it was her Didi tera Dewar deewana song & dance...and Rajshree's brand of family musical drama that made the movie an ATBB.

After HAHK, Madz still had superhits in DTPH and Devdas. And also Raja was a hit, all due to her because the male lead sucked!
