Why cant SRK release 'Dilwale' on 25th Dec instead of 18th

If SRK moves his movie, then it would be taken as his first step down from the 'Baadshahat' of Bollywood. And SLB's ego won't let him move. Jeet to audience ki hogi 😛

Uhhh..That would NOT be awesome. Whichever movie comes on the 25th has more to gain. Not only the screens will be reduced for the movie coming on the 18th but the audience's attention would also shift to the new release. I hope SRK gets some sense and move Dilwale to 25th.

Not if Dilwale turns out to be awesome...remember CE released first and then after 6 days OUATIMR released...yes the screens were reduced otherwise CE would have made more but still CE beat it by miles...depends on which movie appeals more to the audience.

Anyways...any date would be better than clashing. I think they both should sit down and work this out...only fools will let ego come in between a business worth in crores...I just don't get why they are doing this😕

i really dont think a clash will happen, clash news is to just create hype for both movies, i believe one will release on 18th and one on 25th december, both will hav solo releases

but they will milk this 'clash' stuff for as long as possible, then in the end one will move

No, now its a ego clash.. and even for aam Janta.. it must in national daily entertainment section as well.

The movie that get head start and gr8 WOM.. the other movie will struggle get screens.. coz in 2nd week.. Distros and theatrewas r already in profits with that first movie. Why wud the reduce the screen for a movie thats going strong?

But if the first movie nose dives Monday onwards, then the next one has HUGE advantage to come on 25th.

Its catch 20-20... no backing off. The real battle will be now which movie will get how many screens. And then WOM..

I like it. In all festive seasons, there must be big clashes. For how long these khans monopoly will be tolerated?

It will happen. The movie that changes its release date will looked at as doubtful for its content.

not really, i think moving will just show that the movie wants to do as well as possible, i really feel one will move, too much of a gamble to clash

I think SRK would have weighed the pros and cons. I don't think he's so delusional that he would have picked his date just on basis of hope that SLB will move. For a film he's supposedly making only for records he gave up record bragging rights and picked 18th. So I dunno, but he would have thought something through.

Clash is inevitable, which ever movie is released later would be looser. IF BM is released earlier, and is ringing cash register. No theater, production house will take it down making way for a competition. Theaters go for a sure shot hit, than a possibly a hit. It dosnt make sense for them to take down movies when it is selling like hot cakes. Same happened during chennai express, the production house/ theaters dint back down when ouatmd released. On the contrary when outmd released srk in order to attract public to his movie kept offer of with 2 tickets 1 ticket free. That effected pretty bad, pulling large family weekend and bulk ticket purchasing audience away from new release and media did rest by giving negetive publicity. Deepika and srk both have seen what ever happened and they know once movie releases nothing will be in there hands anymore. There is two options release on same day or keep 3 weeks gap between two releases. And third option would be salman talking srk out of the clash.
