Gautham Gulati To Play Ravi Shastri in Mohammad Azaruddhin's Biopic

When Gautam Gulati opted out from Udanchoo' which was meant to mark his debut in Bollywood, many would have been wondering what Ekta Kapoor would have had ins tore for him. Now, it's emerged that the actor is apparently going to be a part of the Mohammad Azharuddin biopic, Azhar', the teaser first look of which was unveiled last week.
Gulati, who won Bigg Boss 8, is a television actor about to make his debut on the big screen. He is going to be essaying the role of Ravi Shastri in Azhar'. A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Yes, Gautam will be playing Shastri whose friendship with India's former cricket captain, Mohammed Azharuddin is an integral part of the film. He has been working on his physique for the past month so he looks more like a young Ravi Shastri. He has also been attending workshops and viewing interviews and videos of Shastri to try and imbibe his personality".
Gulati will be perfecting the Chapati' shots that Shastri is known for to be sure to get the portrayal correct in the film.
The film is directed by Anthony D'Souza and will go on the floors soon with Emraan Hashmi playing protagonist.
