Come 17th May 2015, and we're finally at the halfway mark of the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival. In the four days preceding the 17th of May 2015, we've seen some spectacular red carpet fashion that's had us on our toes at all times, wondering what glamour lies in store. So far, the Festival's seen a slew of L'Oral Paris ambassadors glide down the red carpet in what we can only describe as awe-inspiring, rapturous moments - from Bollywood beauties Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif and Hollywood icons Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore, Andie MacDowell, and Jane Fonda to renowned supermodels Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Natasha Poly, and Liya Kebede. It's more than safe to say that these lovely ladies have set some really high standards.

However, if you notice one name that is conspicuous in its absence on that list, then we know you're a Cannes pro! That's right, Bollywood diva and Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally made her red carpet debut at the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival on 17th May 2015 in a resplendent sleeveless sea green gown by Elie Saab that was all about net and sequins. The blue-eyed beauty, representing L'Oral Paris for her 14th year at the prestigious Film Festival, accessorised her gown with a pair of Elie Saab heels and a chunky bejewelled finger ring by De Grisogono. Aishwarya's star asset, her beautiful eyes, gleamed with a hint of blue-green liner, which stood out in stark contrast to her indulgent deep wine-coloured lips. With her thick, lush hair left down in loose waves, she reminded us why she's the undisputed queen of the Cannes red carpet.

If you're going gaga over her impeccably put-together beauty look and can't wait to get your hands on it, here's a step-by-step guide to going about perfecting it.

GET THE LOOK

Step 1: To get Aishwarya's radiant complexion, begin with an application of liquid foundation - using your fingers or a brush (depending on which you're more comfortable with), dot the product on your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, and gently blend it into your skin. Once you've smoothly incorporated the foundation into your skin, move on to brushing a healthy dose of rouge in Lucent Magique Blush's Duchess Rose onto the apples of your cheeks. GTL Tip: Work your brush in the shape of the number three a few times over till you're happy with the tinge of colour.

Step 2: It's now time to add some drama and vitality to your eyes so that they gleam like Aishwarya's. Using an eyeshadow brush, sweep on a shade of eyeshadow in tones of beige and ivory across the swell of your eyelids, so that you've got that slight hint of colour that isn't too overwhelming. Now, take hold of your faithful Super Liner Gel Intenza eyeliner in Profound Black and swipe across a neat line along your upper lashes. GTL Tip: To get an even line, make tiny dots (or mini dashes) in the shape and/or thickness of the line you want in the inner corner of your eye, in the middle, and towards the outer tip. Now, connect the dots/dashes carefully, post which you can safely colour it in. Follow it up with a hint of blueish-green liner to your lower lash line, and you've got yourself some vivid eyes. Don't forget the most crucial bit of all, though - a happy whirl of Volume Million Lashes Mascara to make your eyes shine through and through, just like Aishwarya's!

Step 3: No look is complete without the inclusion of lipstick. To bolster your look, pucker up with a generous dab of Color Riche Swarovski Moist Mat lipstick in Arabian Night. This rich shade ensures that your lips have that intensity of colour as well as a lovely moist texture.

Step 4: To complete this preternaturally glamorous look, sweep your lush brown hair over your shoulder and let it cascade down in loose waves.
