No. Nicholas Cage had a good run in the early to mid 90s but these days I don't even know if his movies make it to the theaters anymore. When people think top ten or even twenty actors of Hollywood his name does not pop up at all. Last time he was in the news was years ago when he named his kid after Superman's alien name, Kal El. Last ten years he's only been known for those semi b grade treasure hunt movies.

Akshay is still very popular, and very in demand. Yes he does frivolous movies but he also does a movie like Baby, Holiday or Soecial 26. He keeps himself relevant by either giving one big hit or one critically successful film a year. After the Khan trifecta he is easily part of the next slew of Bollywood superstars.

Akshay Kumar is not a has been by any means.

Nicholas Cage movies still release in the theatre.

They do have similar facial structures 😛
