Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Dutt are having a detailed conversation through letters to decide who will play the actor's current wife in the biopic based on his controversial life

In recent times, Bollywood has witnessed the release of several biopics. While some successfully managed to strike the right chord with the audience (Dirty Picture and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag), some miserably failed at the box-office (Gulab Gang). As for upcoming biopics, apart from Bajirao Mastani, Azhar, Dangal, M.S Dhoni and Neerja Bhanot, one film based on real life which has surely caught the attention of the media and audience is the biopic on Sanjay Dutt.
After a lot of speculations last year Rajkumar Hirani finally admitted that he is all set to make a biopic on controversial actor Sanjay Dutt. The fact that Sanjay and Rajkumar share a great bond made Sanjay believe that the director will be able to do justice to his biopic. On the one hand where Ranbir Kapoor has been finalised for Sanjay Dutt's role, who will play Sanjay's third wife Manyata Dutt's part in his biopic is giving Rajkumar Hirani sleepless nights.
A source close to the film reveals that from the past two-three months Rajkumar Hirani is in desperate search for an actress who can do justice to Manyata's character. The director has also been in talks with a few actresses but nothing has been finalised yet. As Sanjay is still in the prison completing his jail tenure, Rajkumar Hirani and he are having intense conversations on the same topic through letters. Sanjay in every possible way is helping Hirani and giving his valuable suggestions to the director to help him to cast the perfect actress to play Manyata.
Whether it will be an actress who is already established or will it be a newcomer is still not clear.
