Kapoor and Sons Updates Thread; In cinemas on 18th March - Page 8

Finalllyyy...Finaaallly we are here FK fans...phew it was a long wait! 😆

I must say the ensemble cast looks good. Looking forward to see Rajat kapoor, Rathna Pathak Shah, Rishi kapoor and all from main cast having some electrifying scenes. I loved Ratna pathak shah in khoobsurat too.

Please no comparison between KSG. I think Indian TV actors dont even get a chance to really act in most shows so its even unfair to compare them with Pakistani ones who work in well written short running shows.
I would suggest you start watching the series from the beginning instead of a scene. You wont get the context of how beautifully conceived the scenes are till you have the context. Pakistani series start off show in the first 1-2 episodes...then they suck you and you dont even realize when you got addicted.
I fell for Fawad only in the 9th episode. 😆And despite his romantic hero image it was a dramatic scene which sucked me in. Till then it was like cute hain...par what's the big deal?

Alia on the other hand is going to have a shorter haircut...her look is very comfy, tomboyish but a bit preppy too.

They both actually look very nice in the look test pictures.

I don't know what to do. All I have done is watch FK/Zaroon vids and all I have thought is FK/Zaroon. I am so screwed. FK and Zaroon have successfully turned me into a hopeless, romantic, over-the-top believer in love. But since there will never be a Zaroon in real life, and because FK is out of my reach, I will never be satisfied with what I may have in my future. 😲

PS - A few years back, when Humsafar was insanely popular, and when I thought FK was ugly (God Forbid), I remember watching a few episodes of it. I was so turned off by that thing Mahira Khan, that I am afraid to watch it again, even for FK. Mahira is such a terrible actor...recently my mom watched her show (Sadqay Jawan, her very recent show), and she is still as terrible as she was in Humsafar. She's going to suck in the SRK movie too.

That is an unfair way to judge him. It's a telefim, the characters and plot take time to grow on you. You simply cannot isolate one scene and form a judgement of the show or the characters, even if you're attempting to judge it superficially. It took some time for the show to really grow on me, and it was only during my second watch that I fully realized what a rare specimen FK truly is. 😆 ZGH is a show beyond one or two scenes...there's so many subtleties and nuances that can be missed when watched with one perspective or preconceived notions. I simply loved the juxtaposition of ideas on the show.

But like you said, there's no accounting for taste LOL!

I might go back and watch Humsafar for him 😳 I doubt I would like that show as much as I liked ZGH...also because I am no fan of Mahira, it will be even harder for me.😆

Random ZGH thought: It was so funny to watch Zaroon smoke only when he was stressed or nervous. 😆
