Me too with Piku and Deepika.
I think the high expectations of BM might weigh it down at the end. The Ram-Leela couple and all. And plus, isn't BM pretty much about some king and an extra-marital affair before he marries her? I dunno if the Indian audience wants to see that, based on what happened with KANK😆


At topic: I don't really know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to Kajol. A movie that was quickly scripted and being filmed solely for a holiday release most probably doesn't have much to the role.

Priyanka is the lead as far as I know. Or maybe both can be categorized as leads ( it wont be a new thing to have two female leads).

Anuskha has been the most impressive thing to be about the BV trailers. She steals the show and lights the screen on fire every time she comes on. Anurag movies have great characters and I am sure BV is going to be no different. From the trailers it looks like Anushka has one hell of a role and it looks her movie.

The second trailer leaves little doubt as to why BV wont be a hit. DDD is a perfect summer release and generating a lot of hype. Cant see that going downhill (might even be a BB, like YJHD) Remember she is coming of a 340 crore and critically acclaimed movie in PK and a hit in NH10 as well. Helps tremendously with the buzz.

Nope DP isn't getting anything for Piku. Have you see the trailer?? Irfan is the only good thing about that one. Seems all over the place.

Vidya is the dark horse in all this HAK is right up her ally. It is a kind of role she excels in and with Mohit Suri being the director it should do well at the BO as well. His movies usually have an okay story and amazing music which helps a lot in bringing in the audiences case in point EV and A2.

Priyanka doesn't have the lead role role in BM. Thats why I have her down on my list. If it is otherwise, she can win too. I have no doubt that she is going to nail that performance.


Kalki's might well be the best performance of the year but she is not winning anything. With the subject that the movie has, I don't see Margarita with a Straw working in India. Which is a shame though, because it seem to be one hell of a movie.

Anushka will steal all the acclaim this year. She has 3 amazing films this year. If not her, Vidya and Kalki are powerhouses, but knowing how awful award shows are, they'll give it to the woman who pays them or attends.

Anushka is not the lead in DDD, so theres that. NH10 has come and gone and don't hear any award buzz for her (correct me if i am mistaken). BV in all probability is going to bomb and even if it is a hit it looks more like a Ranbir movie. I am hoping that there is an Anushka year down the lane but barring any surprises, this is not it.

Priyanka is supporting in Bajirao Mastani and i highly doubt DDD is a movie that can get her anything if Barfi didn't.

Deepika: Are we even sure that BM is going to release this year? Even if it does do you think it'll be a hit? Even if it is a hit, do you think she can beat Vidya? At this point i'll consider her as third in the running.

Vidya is at this point the only lead. The things that i am hearing about the movie makes me sure that she is on the verge of pulling another DP and Kahaani. (therefore i biasedly hope that the movie flops 😛)

I am surprised that no one is considering Aishwarya who is a sure shot nominee this year whether the film is a hit or a flop and in all possibility is going to win something (even if it is a critics award).

It looks like Kalki is the flavor of the month here at IF. 😆 Anyone who thinks she has a remote chance of wining anything other that the critics award is either not aware of Bollywood or is in idealistic about award show outcomes.

And Lastly, the love of my life. 😳 Although i have my reservations about her doing a Rohit movie, my biased gut tells me that she is going to run away with the whole mela. She is going to be shrieky, she is going to ham but in my biased opinion it is her in the end. (i hope i dont fall flat with these claims 😛)

P.S: With my copious use of the word bias i hope people realize that my opinion is biased. And i also hope people also start accepting that they have their own biases. 🥱

@SalB, I think both Priyanka and Anushka will be the leads in DDD. I think it truly is an ensemble cast with maybe Anil and Shafali as supporting. On top of that Priyanka's character might get lost within the story of the family whereas Anushka's character is looked at separately. I could be totally wrong and I'm sure we'll know more once the trailer is out, but this is the impression I have of the movie at this point. Bottom line I feel that even though they all might have equal roles the Mehra family members might not make as much of an impact individually.
