yes.. i personally think the movie will do well. and i also like the fact that yrf is not spending too much on promotions because then the cost increases further. I am a DB fan and i sincerely believe that people will go to watch his movies.
But if people don't even know that his movie is releasing, then it's a problem.😕

I sincerely wish this movie fares well for Sushant as well as I love DB series. Am equally excited to see Swastika in a Hindi flick.

I don't think this is like Queen . Whether I like Queen or not I can't deny its success . But that was an oddball indie niche film. DBB is as mainstream as it gets IMHO . Its based on comic books isn't it ?? 😆😆😆

As for this films Box Office I say between 60-70 crores

I mean, yea sure, after the stupid initial passivity of the twitter handle, online promotions n all... it picked up really well later on.. and they have been doing the ent news channel and print interviews too... but I feel they left it a bit late..

And their biggest oversight has been with tv promos ...( esp the song promos ... which they shot quite late) ...

I guess they struggled with that .. bcuz the movie has no glamorous looking songs, locales or actors.. and plus it is a detective film.. so they had to be careful not to reveal too many things...

That Calcutta Kiss song and video was so cool, they should have shot and released that on tv much earlier...

Dunno how much the BKB song vid would have caught on.. but it would have helped nevertheless..

Regardless of what they do online, and whatever college/city tours they do ... in the end ... the highest promotion visibility is through television

I am going to be pretty happy if it makes enough to be declared a clean hit .. along with critical acclaim.

I get ur point..they r finally coming up with innovative ideas to promote the movie but its a little too late...hmm I guess even if this theory stands true,only the initial opening wud be affected..If there is a strong WOM,still ample opportunities for a 100cr lifetime..Releasing date is safe..Ppl wud be keen to go out & enjoy a wholesome entertaining thriller on big screen after following months long WC matches in the comfort of their tellyscreens & couches.Movies coming out during period of school vacations seems to benefit in a hugee wayl..Also no competition from a huge franchise or Khan movies..No chartbuster music as of yet but since both the music vids received positive feedback,high chance it will grow tremendously among audience once the movie releases ..yeah T.V promotions need to be done on huge scale..Guess YRF are planning to send the cast to telly shows during this week(seen Sushant pics with CID team) & continue the appearances during first week of movie release..Overall I dont think 100 cr possibility should be written off during this nascent stage..positive WOM can bring a change..Thought DLKA will go Bewkoofiyan way but now m reading articles it surpassed 5th weekend collections of Badlapur,Baby etc..so u never know :)

Don't feel the masses are going to take a liking to DBB. Its only the multiplexes which will be supporting it.

Both the trailers have been cut well and promoted on social media decently. I saw the trailers in theatres before DLKH, NH10 and Kingsman (maybe) so they are targeting urban audience basically.

My prediction:

if WOM bad due to movie going over audience's head or violence
30 Cr

if WOM average
45 Cr

if WOM is very good
60+ Cr

Leela will be competition in single screens only. Same with Mr X.

Main competition is F&F7 for DBB which is going to release in more than 2000 theatres all over India, a first for any Hollywood film here. It is expected to have a terrific opening and the reviews so far have been tremendous.
Vin Diesel + Paul Walker + The Rock + Jason Statham in F&F series >>>>>>> SSR in a 2hr30min period film

My personal views : Dibakar is a good director and I love all his films except Shanghai. So I have faith in his abilities.

This could go either way. 100cr+ or below 50cr.
