The heckling and ridiculing of Bollywood Actress, Anushka Sharma after boyfriend Virat Kohli's bad performance at World Cup semi-finals, reached a new shamed height. If her memes and viral trolls weren't enough for the fans to vent out their anger, some have even taken measures to burn Anushka's effigies in parts of the country.
In a protest against, India's loss in the match against Australia, members of The Congress and National Student Union of India (NSUI) at Chetakpuri area in Gwalior set Anushka's effigy on fire. The fans were highly disappointed with Indian team's performance and burnt in protest burnt their effigies too.
Australia defeated India by 95 runs and somehow the blame landed upon the whole Cricket team. Surprisingly even on Kohli's ladylove, Anushka Sharma, who was present at the Sydney Cricket Ground to cheer for team and her bf, and got caught into the web of trolls and was blamed for Virat's below-level performance.
Public displeasure and anger in Indian fans is spreading like a fire and that is acting like a catalyst, hence effigies are being burnt in parts of the country.
