Guess Who?

Wonderment has prevailed over how a certain leading lady, better known for her sartorial statements than acting chops, landed a plum role of a brave aviation service personnel in an anticipated biopic.

Considering two of her contemporaries are better actors by any standards, this choice of leading lady did get tongues wagging in Bollywood corridors.

Turns out this whole casting process was controlled and stage managed by a leading celebrity management firm. This firm, headed by a famous photographer, has lost out on plum clients recently as their competition has been able to swing key films' for their stars. The said fashionable leading lady is the only big ticket client on their portfolio currently. So influencing the maker of this biopic and the studio backing it was part of their job and crucial to maintaining a strong company profile- which they've done ably.

So far, when some other producers were approach to back this film initially, they hesitated owing to the fashionable leading lady who did'nt seem right for a strong author backed character. The studio, however, grabbed this film with few demands as building a strong portfolio of production ventures (other than distribution deals) is important for them.
