watched NH10 in theatre..thot should contribute to income of this movie, after reading the reviews😉
and dint disappoint⭐️
what a brillliant MOVIE! wow! a gritty, gut wrenching, smartly made thriller with so many symbolic moments and superb performances - Anushka deserves a national award for pulling off meera in such an thundering manner👏👏
its probably one of the best movies in this neo-noir genre - one step ahead of johny gaddar too..becoz there isnt a single minute which is predictable, not a single minute which is boring..even though its more of an elongated chase...but so brilliantly directed and executed and leaving a lasting impact
enuf to make me scared to ever take a road trip or head to gurgaon outskirts
connecting it to all the socially relevant shows, I was almost getting wary of the fact (in this movie - honour killing was taken up...) - that really - can all this stuff still be even happening for real anymore - I mean 21st century - have we not grown enuf in terms of education to be able to educate villagers and all the rural areas to stop the age old malpractices..and with all the NGOs running, social activists around - how can such things even be happening...
but yeah it so does,..and its a way of life for them..- not apologetic about it either, coz this is "their" law ..70% of India is still living in those ages - and practicing the illegal customs...and indulging in rampant killings and punishment becoz for them anything against the customs, is a crime - which deserves death as a punishment ..
and anybody who tries to change the mindset too will be stoned to death...
so eerry, so scary - this is where the development and all those big words hit a death nail - somethings will never change - the sad, bitter and horrific truth🤓
