Karan Patel and Kamya break up: What went wrong?
While Kamya Punjabi and Karan Patel never admitted to being in a relationship, it was no secret that the two were involved until recently. With Karan announcing the news of his marriage with actress Ankita Bhargava, one wonders what led to his split with Kamya. Karan's family was against the relationship because Kamya is a single mother, but the actress was hoping for things to turn in her favour.
However, what led to the split was Karan's infidelity, reveals a friend, "Kamya caught him cheating on her on several occasions during their year-long relationship, but Karan would come back each time promising to mend his ways. She finally called off the relationship last Monday after she caught him cheating again." But within three days, at a holi party, Karan arrived with Ankita Bhargava, introducing her as his match arranged by their families. "When his friends inquired about Kamya, he told them that the two had split three months ago. Kamya obviously is distraught that he has moved on so soon," says the friend.
When we contacted Kamya, she heard us out and then said, "No comments." Karan declined to comment as well.

Karan Patel aka Raman Bhalla of Ye Hai Mohabbatein is all set to tie the knot with actress Ankita Bhargava. Karan was linked to Kamya Punjabi, but they always maintained their 'just friends' stance and never admitted to being in a relationship. Now we have learnt that Karan has found love in Ankita and will be marrying her on May 3.
"Karan broke the news about his nuptials on the sets of his show. Apparently, Karan and Ankita met through some common friends and hit it off well," a source told us. A close friend of the couple confirmed the news and said, "We are quite excited about Ankita and Karan's wedding and the preparations have already begun."
Coincidentally, Ankita's father, Abhay, plays the role of Karan's on screen father-in-law and now he will be his off screen father-in-law too. We texted Karan but didn't get a revert from him. However, Ankita told us, "Yes, we are getting married soon, that's all I can say at this moment."

Aly (Goni), my brother, confidante, friend and co-actor, brought the two families together. Our families arranged this match. I am happy that I have finally found my soulmate because I am already thinking of reasons to make her smile."
Ankita, who was last seen in the show 'Ekk Nayi Pehchaan', said, "Karan is a beautiful person, and all this while, I had never met him at any party or even spoken with him often. Dad used to mention about his acting and work regularly at home, but I never thought that we would come together. I am happy that my family has found a son in him. The best part about Karan is, though we are both different individuals, we complement each other and think alike."
Meanwhile, the couple will have the roka ceremony on Saturday. The wedding is finalised for May. "We are getting married soon," added Ankita. Here's wishing this couple the very best in life.

"Karan first saw me on January 13, 2015 and it was love at first sight for me. He later told me that the moment he saw me, he thought of me as his wife. He then approached my parents for the marriage and then they got in touch with my uncle. After this, all the wedding formalities like matching the kundali and all started. Everything worked smoothly and went like flowing water. We were destined to be together," said the actress.
Talking about the wedding plans, Ankita shared, "We will be having aroka ceremony this Saturday. The wedding will take place on May 3 2015. It will be a destination wedding. We are not disclosing the destination name right now but we will have a big reception party in Mumbai once we are back."
When asked about the rumours of her being the reason behind Karan and Kamya's break-up, she says, "Trust me, I have never heard such a ridiculous story. There is no truth to it. Kamya and Karan broke-up in December and we met around mid January. These are just baseless stories."
Describing Karan's qualities, Ankita says, "I really like the way he is with my parents. They always wanted a son and finally they have found one in Karan. He is just like me. Our thoughts, values, the way we are brought up just match."
