Rumours about Alia Bhatt too forced, says Varun Dhawan

Even as his latest release Badlapur continues to impress both critics and audience alike, Varun Dhawan keeps getting saddled with link up rumours. His off-screen camaraderie with co-star Alia Bhatt has always been under the scanner. There were strong rumours about their liaison during the release of their previous films and the duo didn't completely deny them at that time.
Speaking on the matter, all Varun has to say now is, "I have no idea about my so-called relationship or break up with Alia Bhatt." He says that he finds these rumours "too forced". Now Alia seems to have moved on to the other student Sidharth Malhotra and the two are open about their relationship. However, when Varun was quizzed about the same he said that he is clueless about their relationship status. And when asked about his relationship with childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal, he simply avoided the question.
On the work front, Varun is ecstatic about the way people are reacting to his performance in Badlapur. "My father is associated with comedy films. He is known to be the master of that genre. But I have always been a fan of dark films like Khalnayak and Satya. Badlapur has helped me fulfil that desire to see myself on screen in that mode," he says.
