Kangana Ranaut's stellar performance in Vikas Bahl's Queen was the undisputed choice for the 60th Filmfare Awards.Filmfare Awards started 60 years back, the same year that the legendary Rekha was born. While Kangana Ranaut could not make it to the awards, it was truly special for her when Rekha ji surprised her by visiting her at her house with her award in one hand and flowers in the other.Excerpts from a conversation with Kangana.

How do you feel getting awarded as the Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards?

In the night, at 3 o'clock, Rekha ji came to my house with the award and flowers. Isn't that amazing? Isn't that the most amazing thing ever? I mean, I was like, 'What is this?' Beyond awards, beyond appreciation, beyond hit and flops. I mean, I wish my parents were here so that someone could share this thrilling moment. That gesture and courtesy of Rekha ji is beyond everything.

I was with my friends and was shocked and very impressed that I had been given the award despite my not being there.

she didnt say she doesnt like awards. even if she doesnt, she should have been awarded instead of DP on different rigged award functions because of her performance. If someone's attendance & dance performance matters over actual performance then why cant she be vocal about that? Why didnt other award functions prove her wrong? :/

Everyone is happy when they get awards. Kangana is no different even if she pretends to be. 😆

But I also think she's happier that an industry veteran like Rekha personally came to her house to give her the award and celebrated with her...even though there was absolutely no need for her to. She's gushing more about the gesture.

Doesn't anybody sleep at night in Bollywood? Every story I hear about someone going to a party, visiting someone's house, dropping by at this place or that, it's always at 1 in the morning or after lol.

I think her specific comment was that award shows were too long and boring, and that there were too many of them and it was hard to keep track of them. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe she got her point across by saying she was surprised she won despite not being there. And Rekha was at her door. What was she supposed to do? Tell Rekha go back where you came from? 😕
