Sex comedies are not fit for television seems to be the conclusion of the censor Board. In December 2013, Indra Kumar had applied for a U\A certificate for Grand Masti, his 100 crore sex comedy, so that it could be aired on television. But, the CBFC has asked for 218 cuts, and sources wonder what would be left of the film after the changes. A Censor official said, "They have been asked to resubmit the film after making the suggested cuts. Only then will a decision on the certification of the film be taken." Director Indra Kumar says that the deletion of scenes is already underway. Meanwhile, the sequel to the successful film titled Phir Grand Masti has already been announced and will mark the return of Riteish Deshmukh to the genre.
