First of all, a Happy New Year to all of you. And those who have been joking that Shah Rukh Khan got a lot of free publicity for his last release HNY on New Year's Eve, let's inform you that King Khan is going to shine again in 2015.
As will his former foe but now good friend Salman Khan. Bhai has two big releases lined up for the year, both as different from each other as chalk is from cheese.
The year will see a fresh jodi of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. On the other hand, we will get to see Ranbir Kapoor pairing with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif in two separate films.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in three films in 2015 and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali will return with a magnum opus starring Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka.

BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN
Salman Khan will conquer the box office again on Eid this year with his Bajrangi Bhaijaan directed by Kabir Khan and co-starring Kareena Kapoor. The film is said to be a love story between a Brahmin woman and a Muslim man. It is slated to hit theatres on July 17. Mark that date on your calendar.
FAN
Shah Rukh Khan plays a double role in the Yash Raj Films' presentation Fan, directed by Maneesh Sharma. The film is said to have a very interesting plot. It will release on August 14 this year.
DETECTIVE BYOMKESH BAKSHY
A Dibakar Banerjee film is always special. The director had a dry year in 2014, but returns with his much-awaited Detective Byomkesh Bakshy which is set in Calcutta of 1940s. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee in principal roles. It is scheduled for release on April 10.
TAMASHA
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor pair up for director Imtiaz Ali's film Tamasha which has been shot majorly in Corsica, France. The second schedule was recently filmed in Shimla. The film is slated to release in December.
DIL DHADAKNE DO
Dil Dhadakne Do has a very interesting cast ensemble: Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is set to release on June 5, right after the IPL season.
PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO
Salman Khan reunites with Rajshri Productions after 16 years for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. The film by Sooraj Barjatya has Salman pairing with Sonam Kapoor, who is 20 years younger to him. Reportedly, Salman plays a prince in the flick, slated to release in November.
PHANTOM
The other Kabir Khan film to hit theatres this year will be Phantom, starring Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan. The film is said to revolve around incidents in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. It will release on April 3.
SHAANDAAR
Director Vikas Bahl has proved his credentials with Queen in 2014. This year, he returns with Shaandaar, starring a fresh jodi of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film is slated to release in the second half of the year.
BOMBAY VELVET
Bombay Velvet can be called director Anurag Kashyap's most ambitious film to date. It is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables' and is set in Bombay of the 1960s. Ranbir Kapoor plays a boxer, Johnny Balraj. Anushka Sharma plays an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie. Supporting cast includes Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu. Best of all, the film has Karan Johar playing the villain. It is slated to release on May 15.
BABY
The very first month of 2015 will see Akshay Kumar and director Neeraj Pandey return with their film Baby. The movie has Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati playing Indian Intelligence Agents out to nab a terrorist. It will hit theatres on January 19.
JAGGA JASOOS
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif pair up again after 'Raajneeti'. The film is director Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos. It is said to be a romantic comedy and will release on August 28.
BAJIRAO MASTANI
In Bajirao Mastani, auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali will take us back in time to the 18th century and recreate the love story between the Maratha warrior Bajirao and his two wives Kashibai and Mastani. Ranveer Singh plays Bajirao, Priyanka Chopra plays Kashibai and Deepika Padukone plays Mastani. The film is scheduled to release in December.
SHAMITABH AND PIKU
Come February Amitabh Bachchan returns to the big screen with R. Balki's film Shamitabh. Then, in April, he will be seen in director Shoojit Sircar's Piku with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
SINGH IS BLING
Another Akshay Kumar film that fans eagerly await this year is Singh Is Bling, an all-out comedy directed by Prabhu Dheva. It is expected to come out on October 2.
WAZIR
Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar team up in director Bejoy Nambiar's film Wazir, also starring Aditi Rao Hydari. The film will come out in 2015, but its release date is yet to be announced.
