What made PC so bitter and arrogant?

from a likable girl to the one having the most repulsive personality

what went so wrong?

lashing out at journalists..giving rude interviews..attacking awards...snubbing juniors and not letting them speak...constant talk about her own brilliance and not accepting criticism

she has totally lost it

a couple of things..

father's death..

different people deal with loss of parents differently..some cry it out and become mellow, some hold in but that makes them harsh

lack of love life?

don't intend to say a woman is incomplete with out a man..just that love can mellow one down..biggest example is kareena..such an improvement in her personality..so much calmer

second woman?

if rumors are true so...

it can hurt one's ego the wrong way and make them bitter

what is your take peeps?

sensitive fans stay away for good health and sleep! :)

I think lately it has to be lack of appreciation of her work...

She had put in hell lot of effort and dedication in MK and it didnt really turn out way she expected it to be.
Coming to awards, she doesnt trust those stardust BC kinda award show and major reason of her turn off was her losing award for Barfi. She was praised a lot for Jhilmil, everyone saying she will be the front runner, she also bagged at other award ceremonies BUT lost same at FF and Screen - major award shows!

She didn't snub juniors
Neither she has being attacking reporters!

look at kareena- she is so happy and didn't give a rats ass to not winning for brilliant performances in heroine and talaash. You got to take it easy to maintain your sanity

She is workaholic
She gets affected and whats wrong in that! She takes her career seriously!

Atleast she is not lazy like KKK doing only 15 min roles in her film
Also KKK not getting affected of not winning award😆 Nice one!!

Kareena should try learn to act from Priyanka first. Who cares about offscreen when brilliantly versatile Priyanka can embarrass one dimensional actresses like Kareena onscreen each time she releases a movie?

Also Kareena will now do some useless 20 min flowerpot roles for buddhe actors whereas Priyanka will continue to surprise audiences with difficult scripts. Cant wait for Bajirao Mastani where PC will show overrated DP what acting is all about. PC is simply phenomenal. 2nd best actress ever after Rani.

She has always been aggressive and super-ambitious. But never noticed her insecurity or bitterness. I used to root for her when Kareena was giving obnoxious statements about every other actress, I used to love it when PC used to give it back to her right in-her-face.

But after Barfi happened, and when she didn't win the coveted awards or whatever, she started sounding bitter and insecure. And now with Mary Kom not being a favourite to win, she sounds resentful and hostile yet again, with added aggression.

I thought she was actually good in Barfi so I somewhat understood. But I dont get the hype about Mary Kom. The film and her performance both were mediocre. She can't expect that film/performance to topple over Kangana's Queen. This was absolutely Kangana's year. You just cannot take that away from her.

I cant comment about her personal life because so much of it is speculation and rumours so I cant be sure. But professional life at least, she has to change her attitude or the going may get difficult for her.

I don't know the answer but I was wondering the same after watching that round table with Massand.

She was always said to be very close to her Dad so maybe that's it. Though a good chunk of it is probably a combination of not being appreciated for Barfi and Mary Kom (award wise) and also being known as the other woman in tabloid world.

Maybe she was always like this but was faking it earlier and now that she's established her place in the industry she's comfortable enough to let her real personality come through. There are hints of her attitude and personality in Parineeti as well.

A woman being ambitious, speaking up her mind and asking for what she deserves makes her bitter and arrogant? Iit's called bitchiness in women but "confidence" in men.

What does she have to be bitter about? She has lasted more than most heroines, given some spectacular performances, broken boundaries for indian women in western tv and music. She is THE most accomplished woman in BW.

To quote beyonce's words from her song "Flawless":

Because I am female
I am expected to aspire to marriage
I am expected to make my life choices

She speaks the loudest for equal pay, for more significant women roles, for the awards that she thinks she deserves...that doesn't make her arrogant...that just makes her a feminist.

I remember PC saying she rejected Fashion at first. She wasn't sure about doing a women oriented film. She decided to take that chance and it worked big time. Film did well and she won NA and all other accolades. Then she started taking more woman oriented films like SKM and WYR. Expectations were high after Fashion's success and the fact that she was worked with acclaimed directors. Both films didn't do well and she got critics award for SKM, I guess. Nothing other than that.

Barfi happened when she was targeted by media and even insiders like Kjo. She got great critical acclaim, but lost out to Vidya at FF and Screen awards. She was obviously upset about it. Most were talking about NA being locked when Mary Kom was announced, but film got mixed reviews. Now even FF is in doubt due to strong competition.

Problem with PC is that she hasn't found her niche in rom-coms so she gets flowerpot roles in commercial films. Kangy got praised for K3 and PC was totally forgotten and Agneepath, Zanjeer, Gunday etc didn't do much for her. Only exception is Don but not many tomboy characters in BW films. So her big ticket is woman oriented films or different films like Barfi. She puts a lot of effort into such characters and obviously you expect accolades doing such roles. She hasn't had a YJHD, 2 States, HSKD kind of rom-com so there's no middle ground for her. That's why she was pissed during K3 and said she's the heroine of the film.
