Clothing was created to protect from elements, not protect modesty. The concept that the body is shameful and must be covered is a human social construct. It is not necessary that aliens follow human social constructs. None of the other species on earth do. Not even our closest cousins the great apes.

Theoretically, faster than light travel is possible. Particle physics has theorized particles that display FTL. Space travel results in time dilation resulting from FTL and gravity. Arsal-Ak explained this well.

I don't think westerners "stole" from Puranas per se. Almost all regions of the world have their own myths that seem to defy known logic. Sci-fi and myth are two sides of the coin. Explain the impossible with Gods and Goddesses you get myth and fantasy. Explain the impossible with theoretical science you get Sci-fi.

Isn't it fascinating that every region of the world has the "great flood myth". Manu and Matsya in India. Noah and the Ark in Abrahamic religions. Epic of Gilgamesh in Mesopotamia. Chinese Gun-Yu myth. All native indigenous tribes around the world also have their own flood narrative,

God or spirits save mankind - religious myth
A spaceship comes and saves mankind - sci-fi
Dinosaurs drowned to keep everyone else afloat - humor

God made man and the world - religious myth
Aliens seeded life on earth - sci-fi
The flying spaghetti monster created everything - humor

The difference is religious myth tries to attribute everything we don't understand to God or higher powers. Science fiction tries to explain everything with a plausible theory. Humorists are more like what the f**k do we know, nothing to get all bothered over.

Doesnt matter what you think...Those abrahmic religions are fairly recent and i am sure their scriptures must have been inspired from somewhere...

For example

krishna becomes christ
and krishna niti become christianity😆

And when you say A-brahmic what do you see there?😛

Yaah !! I see watch'ya mean,...!!

In our epics,... like Mahabharata and Ramayana,. Bhakt Prahlaad,.. Ansooya, Sati Savitri, Nal-Damyanti,.. Shakuntala-Dushyant,..
we had it all figments ( imaginations of fertile brain-waves ) from the fertile film making story writer of that time,..Tulsidas/Valmiki ( Old stylen Yash Chopra ) and it had time travel, Clones, Flying man, two way dressers, superman, and all kindaa Batman, spiderman that US is making those cartoon-movies today,... It already had come to the mind of Tulsidas ( previously born as Valminki ) at that time,...Pushpak Vimaan,. that Lord Rama comes back to Ayodya after winning over Rawana,..

When Vishvamitri fell in love with Menka,. did not he hold the night for 9 months in a boat in that zheel,... doing kaam-kreeda and rati-kreeda with her,...to impregnate her,. was not it a time-travel, like you mentioned of Krishna -Sudama ?

Good that RTH has pinched in, in this discussion,.. !

The whole thing is,... when we were in an ape-aadi manav stage ,.. and sitting on sand, wet soil it was ruining our body that wet sands stick to the butts,.. etc and that's how they started wearing leaves,... they were not much wearing on the top torso,... so that's how it started,. And later to protect from cold and hot weather they put on more clothes/tree-leaves,...

Later,.. the society formed,. And when we use common public things such as sitting on a bus/bench and then next someone else sits there,. So naturally,... that common object be free from one's body perspiration, fart and skin touch,. And that's how the necessity of clothes made a sense,... and somehow the modesty and sex-private parts factor also was woven into it somewhere at some time-frame of olden time before the Christ.

But the very obvious was,... when a aadi-maanav was sitting on wet sands and soils,.. it was disgusting to have soil stuck to yr buts and body, also when you sleep,... hence they started wearing leaves,.. ! Also male and women private parts are very delicate and they wanted them to keep it away from filled up with dirt/dust, mud,.. etc and that's how also they realized the needs of some cover and protection there,.. but Modesty was not the issue at that ape-age time-frame of the duration.

Talking about the dinosaur I conclude that, at that time the earth was newly formed and hence was having tons of oxygen and that's how those giant creature formed,. Due to lots of oxygen on the planet,... later due to some asteroid hit and Erath remained covered in a dust ball for centuries and that's how they all died,... as they could never hide underground and still getting food and water !

Human has evolved here,... and hence it's hard to agree that we all are aliens and came in some space ship from another planet when it's star was to go for super-nova or greenhouse effect on the planet and such,... it's all baloney !

The whole thing is all religions have their own fiction / fake stories,..and maan-ghadat stories,.. and as the time passed by,.. scientific inventions came,. They all replaced their book's lines and claimed that we said it first,.. and they all are liars,..

Whether someone says we were the first who said,..

earth rotates the sun

Earth is not endless or infinitive but a hugh round sphere,.

Moon does not have its own light,..

Science told it first and they all copied it, replacing the lines, as the generations evolved and claimed that we said it,..

Original Tulsidaas's Ramayana had very few nos of Chopaayis,. But later everyone added more and more masalas to it,.. and it was exaggerated by 1000 % !

Till today,.. B R Chopra added some filmi dialects to the Character's mouth and such,... !!Lol.

If you are interested in such discussions,...

We desis do discuss here,..

But somehow for that, our sadhu-saints, rishi-munis,.. bhogi-tapaswee-jogis,.. doing taap-jaap, saadhna-aaradhana,.. and meditation for centuries,.. smwhere in those top-most ice-chotis of Himalayas,. Should had proved it and should had told it a waaay earlier,..

what is there on Moon, Mars and Venus,...perhaps, A 1000 yrs ago, before even US went there or tried to explore with Probes, Yans and Apollos,..,. And then and then ppl will believe you,... Yr soul, meditation, releasing the soul from the body, take it there and come back and all those,... And tell smthg very concrete,..with cent percent confident,.. that this thing is there, and we saw it ! Otherwise it's all Baloney.

The epics says,... neither Krishna nor Rama shed any light on these issues... had even ever gave knowledege about the Moon that what shape, how big, it actually is,. What revolves around what,.. Erath is round or endless,..? or it ( Moon, Mars ) does not have any light, water, on it,... on the other hand,.

Even Lord Rama did stubborn-giri / addodaayi to have that moon for him to play , when he was a kid,.. !! Same with the other religion leaders,. ! So,. This all says,.. no freaking guys knew anything

until science brought it on a plate to you, with proofs.

If Thoughts and tapo-sadhna with soul could had actually visited Moon or Mars, we could had said to the US,.. " Look we knew it and our saints had told word-by-word so,.. so many 100s of yrs ago ! " But the sorry-fact is,.. it never happened !

But I just wonder,..

what these kindaa guys in China/India does know,..

https://www.youtube.com/embed/lGv2xAi0oxA

what are their limitations and why they could not explore anything about the space, before the science said it,... If the thoughts were so powerful to be sent and received like the ray of light !

Doesnt matter what you think...Those abrahmic religions are fairly recent and i am sure their scriptures must have been inspired from somewhere...

And when you say A-brahmic what do you see there?😛

And trinity... Brahma (Generator) , Vishnu( Operator), Shiva( Destroyer) ... G O D.. God.

When rest of the world was living in caves and killing animals for feed, India (Bharat Varsh) was writting scriptures in Sanskrit... the most complex language in terms of grammar... it can be used to write the software programs, mathematics, medicine (Ayurveda), civilaisation.

Well, I just happy that the stream of Sanatan Dharma- Hinduism, Budhism, Sikhism, Jainism... are lving peacefully. Few politics driven violence in its ancient history. But the sad thing is the other stream- Abrahmic- Judism, Chritianity, Islam... have a history of such violence, massacre, a sane person wud lose faith in religions. And its still continues, may even cause 3rd WW.

Hopefully the naked alien comes back to restore peace on earth.

This is not about what I feel. It is about what I know.

A large portion of Genesis is mostly inspired by ancient Sumerian and Mesopotamian myths . It is the region closest to where Christianity grew. Dating ancient myths to determine the oldest is challenging. We don't have substantial evidence of who inspired whom. The migration patterns east to west, west to easy are controversial. What we can be sure of is that certain aspects of Genesis match many indigenous creation myths.

The correlation between Christ and Krishna is quite something. They have several parallels. However, Jesus of Nazareth did historically exist in the Roman census under Tiberius. The dead sea scrolls also confirmed Historical Christ. It is possible that the mythos of Jesus that elevates him to son of God is inspired by Krishna. The council of Nicaea did sit down and determine which gospels would enter the Bible and which would be destroyed. It could be inspired by Krishna or the more probably explanation is sticking to a heroes journey' narrative that inspires people. It is also interesting that the Latin pronunciation of Jesus is "Hey Zeus"

A lot of Christian celebration is inspired from pagan celebrations. Oestre, the spring fertility rights become Easter. Yuletide and winter solstice celebrations become Christmas.

Overall when it comes to modern day religion and mythos it is very difficult to strictly define what is the prime or what are the derivatives. The truth is more of a all from one, one from all kind of a deal.

But as a matter of faith if you believe the Puranas to be the prime, that is fine within the realm of belief.

@ Truth10. Thoghts r not just faster, they r so powerful. Newton just saw an apple dropped on ground and thought didnt it go up in the sky? and the law of Gravity was discovered. Galalio had very hard time time to prove that Earth is round shape and not flat.. against the powerful church followers.
Its grt that we r trying to find secrets of universe but can we first find the secrets of human brains, soul, freewill, after death life? Its much close to our chest than a star billions lightyears away.
