Parineeti out of AIB event as the risque humor would hurt bubbly image

The actress drops out of a no-holds-barred comedy event as she felt the risque humorwould hurt her 'bubbly' image.

Parineeti Chopra was supposed to be a part of an upcoming event in which the popular comedy troupe, All India Bakchod, led by Rohan Joshi, Tanmay Bhatt, Gursimran Khamba and Ashish Shakya, trade insults with actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor with Karan Johar as the roast master. In the promotional material, the comedians had promised that the night will feature no-holds-barred digs, from Arjun's battle with obesity to the homo erotic tension between him and Ranveer. Parineeti, too, was supposed to be a part of this unflattering exchange but seems to have developed cold feet at the last minute.

According to a source the actress was initially excited about the show but once she was told what to expect, she voiced her reservations to the organizers.

"She feels the explicit humor AIB is known for will work against her bubbly, girl-next-door image.She was apologetic but eventually dropped out. It's difficult for the troupe to get a replacement for her at the last minute."

Confirming the news, AIB stated: "It is with much regret that we announce that Parineeti Chopra will no longer feature on the AIB knockout between Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh due to some last-minute unavoidable circumstances." When Parineeti was asked if she ditched the event because she wasn't comfortable with what was to come, the actress, who was in Dubai for an event said, "I can't attend the event because of a personal reason."
