Statistically speaking, and from the perspective of Psychology - couples who were in live-in relationships before getting married have the highest rate of divorce.

Could it be that societies or cultures that are accepting of live in relationships are also much more accepting of divorce and divorcees, and conservative cultures who don't allow live in relationships also consider divorce a taboo? Basically what a live in relationship does is gives both sides a better understanding of their compatibility level. I don't see how that could lead to a higher chance of divorce. I think there are more variables to this study.

Indeed it gives you a better understanding of your partner but something happens once they are married. Priorities do change and different expectations arise once that label is put on. Many people like you, don't see how it could lead to divorce but you were close with your initial statements. Basically, those who cohabit are more open minded (obviously) so they are also more accepting of divorce. On top of that men and women tend to have different reasons for cohabiting, women are hoping they will gain that ring from it and men are more likely hoping that cohabitation will put the marriage off. Humans are complicated, I was pretty surprised when I studied this myself (I majored in Psychology and studied personality). So yeah there are more variables but this wasn't just one but several studies so they were valid/reliable. The silver lining is that, those who get into live in relationships later on in their lives (like in their 30s) the chances of divorce are lowered. Now if we are talking about Ranbir Kapoor, yes he is in his 30s but unfortunately, he doesn't have that maturity level atm to sustain marriage.

If buddha can keep getting bewakoof lalas to pony up money for Illuminati then he will at least manage to hook some chicks desperate for roles.
