Madhubala was and still is such an iconic Bollywood personality that no matter who takes the role they are up for the challenge of their career. Talk about enormous shoes to fill. I think Madhuri Dixit could have done it in her younger years but not now. Aishwarya is very beautiful and graceful and it would be easier to make her look younger but I think she herself is so iconic she might not clique as Madhubala. Not to mention that the audience knows both these ladies are older than Ranbir. The only other person that I think can carry herself with grace especially with the wardrobe and everything is Sonam. But I'm not sure if she's a strong enough actress to pull it off.

As someone said earlier why can't they hold nationwide auditions. They might find an amazing gem.
