That's f**ked up.

I don't think it has anything to do with her skin color. Her features are very plain. There are plenty of dark skinned women that are f**king gorgeous: Naomi Campbell, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Zoe Saldana, Gabrielle Union, Stacy Dash etc. are hot. Arpita is not. Not in the conventional way anyway. Rest is up to the old adage- beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I only pointed that out because there was a thread a while back where people did mention her skin color in a not very positive way. I made a generic statement. I'm mainly annoyed that someone here would use the term 'downgrade' talking about both the ladies.

Why can't the word downgrade be used? Not that I think this guy downgraded but if someone dated someone good looking and then went on to date an ugly person, they downgraded in terms of looks, whats wrong in saying that?

A very struggling actor marrying the much loved much spoiled (not in a bad way but rather in a loving way) baby sister of a superstar and the baby of a prominent Bollywood family will raise suspicions. Whatever comments or judgments we pass here behind our computer screens I'm sure the people involved have heard or dealt with it in person as well. Unfortunately such is the nature of their world. One can hope that Arpita herself is smart enough and has a good head on her shoulders where she would have been able to smell this guy's bullshit a mile away. And like someone said above, she also has three protective brothers who will always look out for her no matter what.

If this guy's intentions are anything but love I hope he's done his research then. Being Salman Khan's brother in law didn't do anything for Atul Aginhotri's career. Heck, it didn't even do anything for Salman's own brothers' careers.

If you think there's nothing wrong in using the term 'downgrade' when talking about going from dating someone then later dating 'an ugly person' (????), in your words, then I literally have no words for you

Clearly it can be used. You use it so did some other person on this thread. And I've heard others too, so I'm not trying to single you out. I mean in my opinion it's awful to use that term to describe what you are but I can't stop you or anyone. I just said what I felt.

Don't know them personally so can't say what happened, but the breakup was a good thing for both... he's going on to marry Salman Khan's sister, and his ex has since started working for Jacqueline Fernandez as a stylist.

Well, even if it is true, he wouldn't be able to leave Arpita. Salman won't leave him. 😆 You really think a person like Salman will let anyone hurt his sister?

X2

but in case of Atul, it actually did him good. He went from playing supporting roles to directing one of BW's biggest hit. Had he been just anyone, you think Salman would've signed Bodyguard? Atul and even his brothers are all getting the perks. They might not have made it as stars but they are making a lot of money directing and producing their brother's films.
