Hmmm...UTV are really calculative. So unless they know their film will do well compared to the other, they won't clash.

Specific reasons:
1. Bajirao is a maratha history film, 90% of screens in Mumbai will be booked. Majority of mumbaikars gonna watch BM against Tamasha. Since Mumbai is a biggest circuit, no film can bear loss in mumbai.
2. Starpower of dp+ranveer+priyanka+SLB >> dp+ranbir+Imtiaz
3. YJHD was helped by exes coming together, that thing won't help Tamasha
4. Probably, BM's promotion budget (30 crs) almost same as whole budget of Tamasha. Tamasha will disappear in media visibility.

Unless producers want their film to suffer and lead actress not be able to promote both properly, they shouldn't clash. Only thing is Nadiadwala announced Tamasha's Xmas date after SLB announced BM on that date. 🤔 I don't think it'll end up happening.

he will have to😆 once he realizes he is not going to get even 500 screens in mumbai... When history and culture comes, mumbaikars forget everything else. They are sucha patriotic bunch.
My mumbai friends in 20s who are not into movies know about Bajirao and they say they gonna watch it, no matter who the actor or actress is..so i can say how big it will be in Mumbai circuit.

I am 100% sure Tamasha won't release on christmas. likh lo. Bajirao is a bigger and special film in terms of scale, budget and story. tamasha is just another story.

If films worked just because of any historical figure, Mangal Pandey with Aamir would be ATTB. Mumbai has 30% Marathi population. BM will work if the film is good. Rest don't matter.
