Daawat-e-Depression!

Aditya Roy Kapur is quite upset by poor performance of his last release

Subhash K Jha

Daawat-e-Ishq has not turned out to be the yummy feast it was intended to be. And the one most affected seems to be Aditya Roy Kapur, who after Aashiqui 2, had quickly joined the list of A-list stars.

Aditya has taken the setback to heart and has gone into a shell in response to his performance in Daawat-e-Ishq, informs a friend, adding, "Aditya is a very emotional guy. He can't handle any kind of emotional upheaval. When it happens, he tends to withdraw from all social communication with friends and family. He likes to deal with a situation, such as this, on his own."

Says the source, "He had his doubts about being able to carry off the Lucknowi Muslim chef's role. But nobody questions Aditya Chopra. When Chopra first offered the role to him, the actor expressed reluctance pleading the character was way out of his comfort zone. But Chopra convinced him that it was a good career option to move out of his comfort zone."

He's unhappy with the feedback he has received for DEI. Fitoor will see the actor get out of his comfort zone again. Wonder how he's going to take that!

Don't believe this article. He doesn't seem to be that kind of a person.

Anyway, he got a lot of praise for his role in the movie.Infact most the reviews I saw were of view that his was the strongest performance in the film.

I personally don't think ARK was good in Ashiqui 2 and YJHD
On the other hand he was one of the very few good things abt DEI
And he was appreciated for playing the Lucknawi chef or so I thought

Does ARK have a contract with YRF?
Adi Chopra seems to making wrong moves these days (in terms of movie stories)

If this is his PR by any chance, he is indirectly blaming Adi for forcing him to choose the wrong film 😆 That said, i doubt this is true cos ARK looks way too laid-back to go into depression cos a film of his failed 😕

Adi chopra's intention was good. and ARK nailed the difficult character and got praised. It's just fate that movie didn't work
Now, if he goes to depression because of one failure, he should rather leave the industry and do what he prefers... only strugglers survive. Succes and failure are part and parcel of industry

The problem is he doesnt have too many films on hand. So even a single film becomes important. But it could be PR for Fitoor...maybe he is a depressed guy there...

But he got praised in reviews for his performance? Either way I don't think he's the kind to dwell on a film's failure
But he has got a good line up to follow..Fitoor, Milan Talkies and that Intouchables remake along Varun
