Haider 2nd Day (Friday) Collection Report, Scores Big!

Haider has defied all norms and done better business on 2nd day (Friday) from day one, despite day one being one of the Biggest National Holiday of India. That suggest film might be accepted well by audiences, although this is too early to say that. Real word of mouth will be out once Holiday period is gone. Right now film is enjoying fabulous time at box office and even a clash with biggie like Bang Bang is not stopping it.

Haider had collected nearly 7 crore nett on day 2 and registered a big growth of 10-15%. Growth is big mentioned because of two reasons. First day one was a Big National Holiday and second is film got limited release and any kind of jump is good.

Haider total collection after 2 days is 13 crore nett mark. Film might surprise us again on Saturday and Sunday also. Also Monday is Holiday in many parts of India. Don't be surprised if film crosses 30 crore nett in first 5 days and that will be good achievement considering film limited release count.

Collection Breakup -

Thursday - 6.1 crore nett.

Friday - 6.95 crore nett (est)

Total - 13.05 crore nett (approx).

3rd Day Early Trends And 2nd Day Updated Box Office Collection Of HAIDER

HAIDER Continues To Surprise

This was unarguably the biggest clash at box office of 2014. Two films, of diverse genre and for different target audience, were clashing at box office. ''Haider'' was underdog as everyone is expecting Hrithik starrer ''Bang Bang'' to bulldoze its not so fancy rival but on contrary its holding well.

''Haider'' released across 1250-1300 screens in India yesterday and film has taken few key single screens in metros. Film is very dark and has appeal only for niche audience. Plus its budget is around 30 cr so even decent business of 45-50 cr will not be bad result.

Film took a quite promising start at few places. Film held well in Bangalore, Mysore, Mumbai and Pune. Film is not bad in Rajasthan, East Punjab and West Bengal. Film was helped by excellent reviews and positive word of mouth pushed film especially in evening shows.

The film collected 6.14 cr nett (we predicted this in our report yesterday afternoon) on day one which is a good result against such a big opponent. Film grew yesterday almost in every circuit. For example, film grew by 27% in Rajasthan.

Film collected 6.94 cr nett on day two. Two day total of film is 13.10 cr nett. Film can reach close to 28 cr nett weekend which will be very good total considering competition. Today again film started very well in morning and there is only drop of 10% which means film can post either similar to day one or bit higher than that.

Finally decision of releasing film by UTV on national holiday and extended weekend worked in favor as even on normal day without clash this would had been an ideal figure. Now good trending from here onwards can take it to good figures over weekend.

Haider showed a good trend on day two as it grossed around 6 crore nett. The collections were up despite the first day being a big national holiday. The film showed growth of around 15% which was similar to the drop of Bang Bang on its second day. The approx business of the Hindi version of Haider till date is as follows.

Thursday - 5,25,00,000

Friday - 6,00,00,000

TOTAL - 11,25,00,000

If this trend continues or collections hold at these levels over the five day weekend it can come out with a 30 crore nett figure which will be pretty good but then the real test will be Tuesday.

I just saw Haider, I am still awestruck 👏 One of the best movies this year, quality movie. Direction was brilliant, true Shakespearian tragedy, dark, gloomy and depressing.
Was a little lengthy but kept me engrossed. Don't need to say much about Shahid..he was spectacular, everyone is saying the same thing. Tabu was also brilliant. Shraddha also played her part really well. The whole setting, feel was perfect! I was never interested in this movie but after reading all the reviews wanted to give it a shot..am I am not disappointed. 2nd half was the best.
Some of the scenes gave me goosebumps, the way they signified 'To be or not to be' 👏 Aao na song, grave diggers..and some of the metaphors used by Shakespeare in the play was used very well here.
This was very much similar to hollywood standards. I have seen Macbeth (hollywood one) it was quite similar to that in terms of direction.
Kashmir was the perfect place to shoot this movie..it was the best backdrop for Hamlet.
Read Hamlet in class 8, it all got refreshed.

Haider Saturday (3rd Day) Collection Update, Doing Well Again.

Haider is doing again well on Saturday (3rd day) at box office as from early reports are received. Film is registering similar occupancy to Friday as far as Morning and Noon shows are concerned. This is extremely good news for the film which is clashing with biggie called Bang Bang and having limited screen count.

Haider has opened to 50%+ occupancy in Morning shows which is good. After that film has picked up well and is registering occupancy in the region of around 70% for Noon shows. This is great and hope film sustains well in later part of the day also.

Delhi is currently registering fantastic occupancy of around 75-80%. Gurgaon is huge with 90-95% occupancy for the same. Lucknow is good with around 60% for the same. In Mumbai also film is doing well from latest as is registering occupancy of 55%

Whether film closes to Friday numbers or not or even go higher will depend on how film performs in Evening and Night shows. However till now so far so good for Haider.

Occupancy Report of Haider for 2nd Day (Friday) Noon Shows -

Delhi - 75-80% [65-70% M]

Gurgaon - 90-95%

Mumbai - 55% [45% M]

Lucknow - 60% [45% M]
