KHOOBSURAT Is Below Par On Weekdays
''Daawat E Ishq'' and ''Khoobsurat'' released last weekend and like last week, both films have different set of audience. Last week releases are virtually out of competition and next week will see few small films so one out of these two releases had good chance to sustain if it manages some sort of appreciation and it seems that ''Khoobsurat'' is doing just that.
Though ''Khoobsurat'' had terrible day one. Film never took any kind of start and was horrible in Mumbai. CP, CI and Rajasthan were equally bad. Rajasthan had only 16 lakhs nett figure and Mumbai was lower than north. Film collected poor 2.75 cr nett on day one.
But then film grew big time on day two and collected 3.74 cr nett which is growth of 37%. Film again grew on Sunday by 30% plus. Film was super solid in metros and that is why despite not great shows in central India, film came out with decent numbers.
Film collected 5.05 cr nett on Sunday. Film has collected 11.54 cr nett in three days which was good. Film dropped on Monday by 45% which was very average performance as Friday was itself low. Film added 1.60 cr nett on Monday and 1.45 cr nett on Tuesday.
Film has collected 13.14 cr nett in 4 days and that means film is heading for 18 cr nett week one. Film might finish with 23-25 cr nett lifetime at best as there is no major release in 2nd weke but even that will be a below par total. ''Khoobsurat'' collected $1.5 million or Rs 9 cr over weekend and was ahead of ''Daawat E Ishq'' in overseas.
