What is wrong with Milan Talkies script that so many walked out of it?

Milan Talkies will go down as one of those film which had so many changes in cast since first 2 approached.

Here is the chart. Film was announced in 2012. Post PST success. Ekta had signed Tigmanshu in for Milan Talkies

Imran Khan & Priyanka Chopra signed for the film

Imran walked out of this film post failure of OUATIMD

Shooting delayed from September 2013 to December 2014

Shahid signed for the film. Shooting dates announced

Priyanka walked out of the film. Film delayed.

Sonakshi approached but refused the film

Shraddha signed for the film

Shahid walked out the film.

Varun signed for the film but both leads had busy schedule. Shooting delayed

Shraddha & Varun both walk out of the film

Ayushmann offered but had busy schedule so Tigmanshu delayed the project for other films

Now that Shraddha & ARK back in it. Will it ever take of?????

This movie had more cast changes than any other big film in recent times. Why? Was it the script?

Maybe its like Ghanchakkar. Many people walked out of that too till EH and Vidya agreed.

Though reports are doing the rounds that Aditya has been signed for Milan Talkies, the handsome lad told us nothing is confirmed as yet...

Tigmanshu Dhulia's next directorial venture Milan Talkies has been in the news forever because of its cast. Initially Imran Khan was supposed to play the lead but things didn't work out and the film went to Shahid Kapoor. But the Kaminey actor also backed off citing date issues. Finally Milan Talkies was offered to Aditya Roy Kapur and it was being said that the Aashiqui 2 actor agreed to be part of Tigmanshu's film. In fact, his alleged girlfriend Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to play the female protagonist. And that's one reason why there has been so much buzz around Milan Talkies lately.

However, when asked about teaming up with Shraddha again for Milan Talkies, Aditya told us, "Nothing is confirmed. Once its confirmed only then I will be able to talk about it. But Fitoor is confirmed."

Now that statement is a bit strange coz just a few days back in an interview Dhulia had said, "Aditya and Shraddha have been finalised for the film and we are yet to begin the shooting."

Guess its a case of miscommunication, hai na peeps? Or is Aditya having second thoughts? Well, we'll have to wait and watch!

Almost everyone who was someone in BW in those days among the younger lot-Ranbir, Imran, Abhishek Bachchan. No one agreed to play the male lead till EH stepped in. After watching the movie I can say why-It was cleverly written film not something that would be commercially viable.
