Shahid is a senior to Ranbir and Imran who debuted 2009 and after. His age might be closer to Ranbir but his contemporaries were Hrithik, Abhi, Vivek etc...

Ranbir debuted in 2007 while Shahid in 2003 - 4 years apart...

Abhishek, Hrithik debuted in 2000 - so 3 years apart from Shahid

So Shahid is not a contemporary of any of the above..he falls in the middle...Vivek debuted just a year before...in 2002..so he is...

Shahid has a big advantage...he can look younger as well as older based on the role...his different hair styles changes his looks...for Shandaar...his hip style is making him looking like a college going kid...looking forward to his jodi with Alia...

One thing he has done so far.. is that despite not much success, he hasnt been 2nd fiddle hero like the Abhi, vivek, Riteish, Aftab and others.. he has been carrying most films on his own.. thats why hez star. BO may say otherwise.

Actually all his hits and sem-hits have been single hero films...while quite a few of his flops have been multi-starrers...the irony...😆
