SRK Security Tightened After Underworld Threat-Final DT Note pg14

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has been provided additional security following threats from the underworld.

The actor's security was beefed up after an incident of gunfire outside the Juhu residence of his friend and business associate Karim Morani.

Reports say three rounds were fired outside Morani's residence on Saturday night by unidentified assailants on a motorcycle and a note was found on the spot that said "Shahrukh Khan will be the next target".

According to a TOI report, a gangster has been demanding from Morani the overseas rights of an upcoming Shahrukh Khan-starrer. But Morani, who is the executive producer of Happy New Year', hasn't caved in to the gangster's demand yet.

The police has registered a case and provided extra security to not just Karim Morani but also Shahrukh Khan.

The 48-year-old superstar has so far not commented on the development. His film Happy New Year is seen as a marquee release eagerly awaited by fans not just in India but worldwide. The film will hit theatres in Diwali weekend.

Shahrukh Khan is all safe and sound! The rumours of threats from underworld are untrue, claim sources.

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has reportedly got threats from a gangster, but a source close to the actor-producer denied the news saying "it is untrue".

Media reports said that Shahrukh Khan and his residence Mannat here got tight security from the Mumbai police after gangster Ravi Pujari tried to get in touch with him Monday afternoon. However, a source close to the movie icon, says otherwise.

"Shah Rukh has not got any such calls. We wonder why such rumours are being spread," the source told IANS.

Following rounds of firing that took place at Kareem Morani of Morani Brothers' residence, who are close to SRK, security around the actor is said to have been upped.

When contacted, a police official told IANS: "He has been given police protection for a long time now. So why is there so much of talk about it?"

Shah Rukh, who has worked with the Morani Brothers on his Temptations Reloaded tour, is currently awaiting the release of Happy New Year.

SRK has performed for all the underworld guys in Dubai soo many times. Why will they threaten him when he has had a good working relationship with him all these years? SRK is not the type to get into trouble for no good reason, he is a good smooth talker and he uses it to build the right kind of relationships at the right time.
