Thanks di, I mean some people post topics but there is nothing to disscuss and we can say Thanks due to Vijay's brilliant idea so the article is just forgotten, I think we should only post articles that interest us all. 😊

I haven't seen any posts by newsbot here for a while.

In the beginning when I used to visit this forum I used to see pages of articles posted by newsbot and they were all mostly Hollywood related - and this section clearly states that it is for bollywood movies, news and chat. Most of the Hollywood articles were boring.
I hope newsbot doesnot start putting those up again.

As far as a member posting an article is concerned I think you should look into relaxing the rule of only 3 articles per day. There are some interesting articles posted by the same person - so what if he/she posts more than 3 in a day ? Recently when I was browsing thru these articles here I was disappointed to see many intersting posts/articles - closed because the member had posted more than 3 articles. I know thats an IF rule but I think it is ridiculous. Until now this rule was not enforced this strictly. Why now?

I have hardly ever posted any articles here but I always come around here to check whats new and was very disappointed to see closed topics where I would have liked to make a comment.

I know rules are rules but they can be flexed sometimes based on the circumstances/ using some common sense.

I just hope and pray that Newsbot doesn't start posting all those Hollywood articles again!

Is this newsbot a person or some kind of computer program that posts articles automatically? Just curious becuase you referred to newsbot as 'It' !

I was just doing some checking and see that newsbot has not visited IF since Nov. of 2005 which is about 10 months ago.
Doesn't look like he/she/it wants the job. Correct me if I am wrong.

Newsbot is not a person guys. Its a feature introduced by Vijay so that we get up-to-date bollywood news.

Its an account that automatically gets the news from other sites & posts them on I-F.

And thanks for the post Meghavi. Very much needed. 😊

Thanks for the info. Why has newsbot not posted anything here in a long time? I hope 'it' posts here only Bollywood related news.

I think I know which set of closed topics you were talking about. But that day and at that time, REALLY there were JUST SO MANY topics, IT WAS RIDICULOUS, my bad not topics...ARTICLES. There were soo many articles. I know ppls may not agree with this rule, but we have to keep it, and follow it, because if there is no rule, believe me, this forum will be like REALLY spammed. We wouldn't have to close article topics, if members just followed the rules. And actually, no, the newsbot is very active - https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/116. Last post was Oct 3rd, which it today.

Why now? Dear, we have had atleast 3 other stickies saying this, we still have it in our rules topic 😊 Members who have posted not 3, not 4 but sometimes even 5 and 6 articles a day have been asked to kindly reduce that a bit, especially as most of it has been posted already.

Sweetheart, we don't warn any member if he/she has posted 4 articles 😉 But imagine 6 member posting 4 to 5 articles each and that daily, plus all polls and picture topics and most of them just have been posted before. Wouldn't it be spammed? We have this section to discuss not to spam 😳

Well, J., Meghavi and me used to close repeated topics only, so there shouldn't have been any problem for you, just look for the original article which has been posted before 😳

I personally feel that this section has grown a lot and we all are a family now, isn't it? There are members complaining that the section is often spammed so there is common sense.

Oh I think Jas explained it 😊 And check the other Bollywood Section once, you'll see Newsbot 😃

Dear, please don't get offended by any rule, all we want is that members visit a 'clean' section where they can find articles they are looking for and don't need to go through 5 pages to find a topic which had just been posted an hour ago 😳

Thank You Meghavi and Tumhari_Khushi for finally replying to my post. I really appreciate it.
I didn't realise that there were 2 different bollywood sections and newsbot is posting in the other bollywood section not here. I have not seen newsbot in this section for a long time.
Thanks.

I was just checking the other Bollywood section and see newsbot's posts - loads of them - and surprisingly a lot of them are Hollywood related. If it is a Bollywood section why does newsbot post Hollywood related articles? Isn't there a separate section for Hollywood? I see that not many people read all these articles posted by newsbot.

hi dear,

we do have a seperate Hollywood Section but don't want it to get flooded the same way 😳 So we're basically trying to change it the way we did change this section 😊
