Ek Villian recorded one of highest opening days ever with business of around 16.50 crore nett which is similar to the figures recorded by Jai Ho Earlier this year. The film is the eleventh highest opening day of all time.

It can be noted that the films above Ek Villian all feature one of the five biggest box office stars of the country Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor which makes the Ek Villian figure all the more impressive.
