Billa, I hope you are trolling. Akshay is appreciated all across India. In the 90s, films like Andaz Apna Apna were flopping so Akshay's flops aren't a big deal.

Akshay didn't have his father launching him on grand scale.

What's wrong with that ? you get a film you do it if you want to do it ! as simple as that, why should he be mocked for doing 11 films per year - just because some movies didn't work/flopped ?? 😕 I am not sure if this topic is by product of the other topic or not lol but simply to stay on the topic, I don't see anything wrong here,

It's up to the producers/directors to think about their movies and whoever they want to cast right ? What Akshay has to do with it, for him he was getting films and he did them. I think he must be really in demand at that time to get these many movies in one year !! :)

I can never imagine Akki pulling off Garam Masala or Desi boys kinda movie, he must have never thought it will click, but one can never predict audience minds. I call DB a bit of B grade movie its definitely not A fit. so wat? and I havent seen it 😆

who on earth thought Humshakals will work? was it worth being made? so no harm in saying its commendable to work in movies which comes ur way, kis patha which movie breaks which records, do ur deed and wait for result instead off thinking wish i could have done it, atleast akki even after knowing movie is not worth it, never regrets thats a plus point of any actor

That is a recent phenomenon. I can't recall Bollywood having such benchmarks before.

AAA / Akki's flops are no comparison... it being a flop is cult classic... also father launching thing is also irrelevant as we have seen so many producers sons being launched then reduced to be out of films, even Uday who has his own Dad/Brother's production house.

My point being, the audience didn't accept the film and it flopped. It doesn't matter if it became a cult classic years later. A flop is a flop; and IMO, they aren't a measure of anything. Akshay is still around and doing well for himself.

Who is denying what Akki is? I made a thread on Akki's career's 11 films came in just 1 year. RECORD.
