I found the acting of the cast in ram leela was brilliant but i felt the love story they tried to show between the lead pair did not do justice to the original love story... there was a lot lacking, their love seemed more about the physical side of things than anything else. as some pointed out all u could see with ram leela was physical attraction... and sadly that's not the ONLY thing that should have been seen. 😕

@Zo... well said, inspiring movies although are successful in portraying their good social message across n reaching out to large audiences, the actual impact is restricted to the doors of the theatres...the message fails to make any impact beyond those theatre doors... the mind set of society remains as it is which is just so sad.

In which Universe is 3 Idiot a perfect or good adaptation of 5 point someone?

Adaptation means the main book is kept and only a limited changes are made to suit the other media.

3 idiots was as good as a new book , even the heroine was assigned to the wrong , all powerful character.

The book is not the best work of literature around and the movie maybe a Top class movie,.

But it is a very bad failure as adaptation.

And how come the controversial Devdas is missed?

One of Vishal B's very good adaptation was OMkara and Othelo. Where even at times dialogues were lifted yet they fitted beautifully in rustic Indian picture.

Wow 😲 I Loved the Post guys! 🤗 Amazing one! Great work and such an awesome topic.

One thing I totally agree with is Twilight Saga - The movie completely ruining the books because while I loved reading the books I just couldn't stand the movie 😆

and I think 3 Idiots was a fantastic movie, maybe even better than the book!

I also think The Hunger Games was an amazing convert into a Movie. Atleast the 1st movie. I saw the movie then read the book so yeah...

that's about it, but a completely awesome topic to make a post on!

i dont think if a films contain a strong message then it will change the society as society will only change by the people's mindset will change and i think viewers only remember the fun part of the the 3 idiots not the strong message

Amazing topic. I am a book lover through and through. And tbh, have had many encounters where I've gotten excited over a book being turned into a movie and most of the times, the movies haven't exactly lived upto my expectations. Or in fact, to what the book is about.

I agree with a few here, I couldn't sit through the 1st 10 minutes of 2 states. While I've heard many great things about the book, I have not read it but just to express the general opinion of the people who I know, who have read the book and went to see the movie, were left utterly disappointed. Of course, you can't expect a movie to be the exact copy of the book. But it's highly annoying when movies are turned into a competely different thing, and bear no resemblance, whatsoever to the book.

Awesome post, I mst say, Creatives! 5 Point someone was a good book, but the movie was even better, characters' roles were changed a bit, but all in all it was Brilliant, It gave a good message..!! Twilight Saga, yes the very first movie in the installment leaves a few major scenes from the book, but if you see it as a Movie, not a an adaptation then it is Good too. It is difficult to cram 250 something pages in 2 hours!! But as Movie, Twilight is Good.

3 IDIOTS was really amazing, I liked the movie better than the book. Twilight is great too as a movie. Not so great as adaptations, but not bad either. 2 States was an amazing book, it really captured the essesnce of Intercaste realtionships, but as far I have heard the movie is more physical.. which was not the main aspect of the book..

Anyways, It is am Amazing topic, and I hope you come up with more of these kinds.
