Kjo propping or not,Alia has well earned the merit to be chosen for these roles...Going by the B.O records her success rate is much better than Sonakshi,Parineeti,Illeana etc...she is also scoring the most in popularity charts far ahead of her contemporaries,only below much senior stars like Dpad ,Katrina,PC etc.. Ppl has issues with Kjo's lobbying for his prodigies but no problem when Boney makes movies for Arjun or Anil Kapoor for Sonam or when VD gets cast as main lead in all movies made by Dhawan family...Lets not even get into YRF's obsession with Pari and Sushant...Even VAM is keen on repeating Sonakshi...the only ones who havent received much favours,still rose ahead of others are Ranveer and Anushka (among the newer lot ie)

Its not that Alia is a terrible actress and doesn't have any substance..

He has terrific screen presence and with her two films itself she has shown, she can be a strong actress...

I am happy Alia is getting such challenging roles, and even though it might be unfair Kjo is propping for her but I or anyother person should not care UNTILL end product is bad OR she did terrible acting in that particular film

I mean hello 2states just crossed 100 crores...Ppl called her star of the movie..some even said she carried the whole movie on her own shoulders...It wasnt a meager flowerpot role...People have lapped up her performances,appreciated it...the critics couldnt stop raving either..So whats the worry? She has never made Kjo,Ranbir or anyone who had faith in her and recommended her name to directors feel guilty or repentance...student graduated with flying colours indeed! 😎

Oh I can act in Shandaar too.

I like this pairing. They both have child-like faces & heights. 😆

Why Alia??? Shahid should be paired with a better person!!!

Good to see alia is a part of such critically good films n not films like SOTY where she doesn't have to act 😆

Shahid Kapoor's next film with Queen and Chillar Party fame Vikash Bahl will be a co-production between Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Phantom Films.

Vikash Bahl' third venture is India's first film on destination weddings and it is official Shahid Kapoor has given a nod to play the male lead. The dialogues and songs of the film are being written by lyricist and writer Anvita Dutt Guptan.The movie is Shahid Kapoor's next project after Vishal Bharadwaj's Haider.

Since their last collaboration was a success, they have decided to churn out movies one after another. We're talking about Dharma Productions and Phantom Films.

Their first joint-venture Hasee Toh Phasee drew a favourable response not only from critics but also from the audience, and the film was a success story. Now, they two production houses are teaming up to produce Vikas Bahl's next directorial Shaandaar featuring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film is expected to go on the floors in a few months.

Another Dharma project😆 It's not just Alia though. KJo is pulling favours for all his students.
