But i said ''SINCE 80S'' Sridevi ruled. As back in Hema's time ..she was the only Top actress along with Rekha. The rest like Zeenat-Reena had a lagging career ..and Mumtaz, Vyjayantimala stopped doing movies then. So i don't count Hema, but Sri because when she came the competition was very strong with many powerful newcomers..

Absolutely bogus to allege Hema had no competition! 😲

Sharmila Tagore, Asha Parekh, Parveen Babi, Zeenat Amaan, Mumtaz, Neetu Singh, Rekha, Shabana, Jaya Bhaduri - the list goes on! She had immense competition.

It is Sridevi who had weakest competition. Who cares about Meenakshi or Jayaprada or other nymphets like Anita Raj, Farha etc.? They had no relevance. And others like Smita Patil were total non commercial.

Hema had competition in every form - talented actresses, simpletons, sex symbols - you name it! But she killed it all to emerge the best.

I do not like this trend of underestimating achievements of past stars to prove newer lot better. 😕 Sorry.

asha parekh had some of the biggest hits. another popular one was sharmial and mumu..mumtaz.

I am talking purely from BO POV. Mala Sinha has most hits after Hema Malini. I know she is not as iconic as others and I myself was surprised to read about her record.

Katrina could have easily over took Kareena but I think they always put Kareena above her because Kareena is the better actress.

While her D3 and JTHJ were the biggest hits..her role and perf wasn't appreciated. Even in ETT no one liked her.

Wether people like katrina or not fact is she is the biggest super star of this generation, she may not have won filmfare best actress but she is a super star and queen of box office.

Hema, Sridevi, Madhuri and Katrina are the female super stars of bollywood so far.

And she did it ALL her own...came from nowhere...probably the only one too. I'm glad she did it by herself because otherwise she would have gotten stuck too. Plus, this gave her such confidence.

Not able to understand on what basis is the list made

Why on earth is Deepika at third position and not PRIYANKA for years 2009-2010!?? Despite Fashion and Dostana being hits and she winning National award, she doesn't figure in list of 2008 at all!??
