shuddhi to soon go on floors (LOL) - source

Shuddhi has been in the news for quite some time now, and it's all to do with the casting of the film. Of what we know, Karan Johar has roped in Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor for his prestigious project.

After Hrithik Roshan opted out of Shuddhi due to health issue, the film was almost shelved, but now the project has been revived with the arrival of Salman Khan.

For Karan Johar, Kareena was always the first choice for Shuddhi but she walked out owing to some difference with the filmmaker, and now both have sorted out the issue, and she is almost confirmed for the mammoth project. Karan considers Kareena his sister, and apart from a great professional relationship, the duo bonds very well personally.

"Karan has always considered Kareena as his sister and there is no rift between them, due to Hrithik's brain surgery, Shuddhi was delayed indefinitely which also affected Kareena's date. But now all is clear and the film soon will be on floors." revealed a source close to Karan.

This would be Salman Khans second movie with Karan Johar post Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that released way back in 1998.

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor have worked in movies like, Kyon Ki, Bodyguard and Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.

Why is this such a mammoth project though?

Isn't it set in modern times so no elaborate set, special effects or even period costumes.

I don't understand why it would cos so much unless Salman and Kareena require a hefty fee.
