and one more thing that i feel is that FAN will help raees a lot. Fan is releasing first so if it actually turns out be an outstanding movie and becomes a surprise blockbuster then it will restore the audience's faith un srk i feel.. and raees can benefit (evn if a few crores) .. atleast it can have higher opening or sonething like that...

it was the same thing for prdp... one of tge reasons why it had such a huge opening was bb.. bb was awesome and ppl expected same from prdp.

lets see what happens.. personally i m more excited for fan... it seems a really awesome movie with potential..

In no way degrading SRK, but the best thing for Raees will be to avoid clash.. Salman is rising very high on his popularity. No one can demand.. when PRDP can earn that much with such lame story.. then Sultan is surely have upper hand.

Raees might be a good better product for sure.. but the popularity counts here..

at the end of the day it is going to be the movie with better content which us going to have the upperhand.. the opening would be impacted by the popularity but the overall collection would be in line with which movie is better.. PRDP came solo and on holiday so it making 200cr is not really surprising... star power woukd be put to real sense in this case as both movues would be at the same level

Sultan js not going to be any better then normal Sallu films. The director is just average. If Raees is an average film then both movies will be at par with each other content wise. Raees might have a chance to be a outstanding film, but Sultan i highly doubt because of the director.

So Sultan's director is the one who made Meri Brother ki dulhan and Gunday. Now I genuinely think Raees will win if clash happens. But what about Raees director? I googled him and all his movies are alien to me.

No offense but the same can be said about Dilwale. If Dilwale can earn as much as it did with all kinds of protest and a clash and full on negative campaign then underestimating Raees is a bit silly just like overestimating it would be. Nobody knows how the movie will turn out. All we're going by here is the first look. One that is probably the best first look we have seen of any movie in the recent times and no I'm not being biased when I say that. As for Sultan, I don't think we should underestimate it either. Ali might not been known as the greatest director but he is known for making entertaining movies. I quite enjoyed his MBKD. The most important factor here is there should be no protests when it comes to Raees. I think that's something hardly anyone is considering as people think the authorities will spring into action. The authorities will only do that if they're told to. And these right wing groups will concoct all sorts of reasons to protest if they wish to. They didn't let Bin Roye release in Maharashtra so Mahira being in Raees would be a reason enough for them if they're in the mood to protest. That's all I'm apprehensive about. At the end of day both Shahrukh and SK have their own set of fans so those people will definitely make a choice. As for the neutral it depends on what kind if movies they turn out to be. Raees from the first look of it seems like an intense movie. The clash ain't bothering me as much as the apprehension regarding protests.

Rahul Dholakia might make weird movies,but one of his movie won a national award so that has to say something about him.
and i highly doubt it matters if Sultan is a good film or not, if Kick and PRDP can make 200 crore despite being the worst movies i have seen then what is sultan.
but lets see what happens this EID.
im prolly gunna be watching both the movies.

I think Parzania won a national award...right? I haven't seen any of his movies thus far but heard great things about Parzania. It was banned in Gujrat though.
