BTW why not a Diwali release? It's a bigger festival in India than eid. One of them can postpone it to diwali

I won't mind Raees being postponed for Diwali...but isn't there another movie on Diwali though?

For a movie like Raees , Eid is more apt. It ain't OSO or HNY. It's a film where Shahrukh is kind of playing a villain , the subject matter is a lot more serious and has a lot more depth so I'm not sure if it's a apt release for Diwali. Eid too of course is about celebration but I feel the storyline , the character he's playing in it would actually bring in a lot more viewers on Eid than on Diwali but that's just my humble opinion.

i think all major dates are booked.. no dates without clash if the movie is to be released on a holiday

according to Sumit, it is YRF who told the distributors that Sultan is now coming solo on eid and raees has been postponed.. while I fidn the guy annoying, his news are usually on point.. so I guess, the battle begins

Does it matter?? Clashing with a SRK or Salman starrer may cost u more than clashing with 5 movies.
