no it is the remake of 1986 Malayalam film thalavattam which starred Mohanlal and karthika.the original movie is far better both in terms of execution and acting

Oh yes! How can I forget Kyun Ki, it was a very Depressing film but Salman was awesome!

Frankly Kyon ki is my most fav Salman's film... it was awesome though depressing

He is one of the underated actor in Bw n dis is the reason why his acting, looks n movies were alwyz underated! Forgt abt dis movie evn his performnce in Tere naam was underated!

its pretty much the same story

thalavattam & kyon ki was made by priyadarshan himself, sad he wouldn't give any credit to Asit Sen

He over-did it in Kyun Ki, the laughing and stuff. Whereas he was perfect in Tere Naam and even Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, those were much more natural performances. Plus Kyun Ki was a terribly made film, I haven't been able to watch it more than once.
