This film has inspired so many TV serials! 😆

I don't like this film at all. The only heartening thing about this film is Anil Kapoor's unconditional, undying love, devotion and blind faith on his mother. So much love and that too for step mother?

People loved family drama, Anil-Madhuri jodi and I bet several came to watch this film for Dhak Dhak song alone!

Aruna Irani is the typical kamini saas, scheming wife, manipulative mother and sister. God knows how many evil MIL characters were inspired by her!

Call it stereotyped but I think this film's a good insight into politics that women play, battling with each other, controlling household and men of the family.

Now this is one blockbuster movies of the 90s. The script was pretty simple but the performances were very good.

In fact , the movie was on tv 3 weeks back. Scenes where Madhuri teams up with Laxmikant Berde and her on screen father in law to get Anil out of the clutches of his mother were hilarious.

Madhuri - Anil chemistry was too good in this movie. The music of the film was melodious and the choreography was excellent.

Movie had repeat value and was an all out entertainment - entertainment and entertainment.

Omg this movie was so good but the ending ruined it! Anil drank the poison yet he still managed to get up and fight all these people. I found it ridiculous...! And then he forgives this evil woman who was going to get him, his wife, his unborn child killed..!! So unrealistic.

I much rather prefer today's movies at least they are realistic, barring masala flicks that is.
