Vets say to put him on steroids, which I'm strict against.

It is just quite sad, but at least for now the only option is to put him in a plastic collar, but he is not fussy at all, poor guy adapted to it pretty quick.

hmm..yes, quite sad...one of my cats had something similar but it went away with a special shampoo the doc gave...hope yours gets better soon...
