I think her acting was effortless and very natural as Ananya. She was good. I hope ppl stop comparing her to Kareena. Kareena sucked in most of her movies as a newcomer.

I need to watch Highway now.

SH, No offense but I feel you should sometimes have a fair opinion towards people you dislike! I don't think you hate these celebs so much that you cant find anything worth appreciating!

Mmm... Alia...I haven't watched Highway yet, so obviously i have missed her 'Meryl Streep' performance. Wasn't expecting much from her after watching SOTY. But she stood out in this movie. She does light up the screen..

Salz... The Alia in this movie versus the one in SOTY...wow what an improvement. She was very smooth, no overacting, no background music( SHANAYA) Just Ananya. I still feel she needs to work on her emotional scenes, as she tends to scrunch up her face and it becomes hard to watch. I'm not Tamil, so i would like to know if in the various times she spoke it, did she do a good job?

I didn't want to slap her in the face...thats a good thing. I didn't really pay attention to her not being Tamil, because she was engaging and a pleasure to watch. Her wardrobe and makeup was done nicely and i didn't feel like i was watching a "kid" which most people like to call her.

YusBee - And I can't help but just praise Alia because she gave a consistent performance after Highway. Hated her in SOTY. Started liking her in Highway and absolutely loved her in 2 States for such a natural portrayal of Ananya!

Blue-Ice - Arjun and Alia were just perfect for their roles...the families with Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Revathi...all were just perfect...infact I would say that the perfect casting is the strongest point of this movie

Saraa - Watched 2 states. And I can't believe I am saying this because I thought this will be Arjun show but no this was ALIA BHAT show. She was amazing

TVDekha - Alia surprised me big time in this movie.

StarStruck - What I liked..Alia has improved tremendously. I watched SOTY in theaters too and Alia was the weakest link when compared to Sid and Varun IMO. However, with her very first scene in 2 states, she came across impressive and she just keeps on surprising you from thereon. She looked gorgeous by the way. She looked cute when I saw her in SOTY..however, here she looked beautiful. Her makeup, wardrobe, hair etc was close to perfect. As I said, her acting improved tremendously..where she still needs improvement is her emotional scenes. In one of her scenes with Arjun (after she overhears him and his mother talking about how to handle her post their marriage)..she really couldn't cry. I think that was the only disappointing scene for me from Alia's side because otherwise, I really do think she did great for her third film.

Rambo.Rajkumar - Arjun, Alia, Revathy, Amrita, Shiv and Ronit were superb.

NaadanMaskali - Now to ARJUN & ALIA Let em say this i don't see ANYBODY else playing the roles esp ananya. i know there were lots of people who were like why alia but go and watch her and you'll know why her. she's a delight and so easy on eyes, the spark, the spunk the confidence everything is mindblowing to top that she's immensely pretty and looked like a pari in every frame. there could be no one else playing ananya so well. I am so so so Glad that a certain Miss kapoor wasn't casted Like THANK GOD she would've made me cringe 100 times.

Ippknd_hazel - Aalia has done an amazing job in the movie! she is so natural, minimal make up...and omg her clothes! not only are they beautiful but she makes it look better! Her small cute expressions, the way she cried...it was all Ananya all through.. (Seeing all this i felt like cursing the SOTY makers for making her look like a plastic model when she can look so beautiful without it!)
