With it's eye catching trailer, and intriguing shot of Shraddha Kapoor being thrown to her death, Ek Villain is getting the right kind of attention. Yesterday. we saw some pictures of Sidharth hovering around a funeral pyre, which left us intrigued. We did some digging around and see what we found! The movie is an obvious adaptation of the much appreciated Korean film 'I Saw the Devil', which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2011.
Here's some inside dope on the film's plot. Shraddha Kapoor's character is killed in the first fifteen minutes of the film, and in the rest of the film she re appears in flash back in most crucial portions. Using the classic technique of reverse narration- in which the prism of story telling is presented from both sides. The film establishes Sidharth Malhotra as the protagonist, who suffers injustices, and fights them out. Ritesh Deshmukh is shown as a cold hearted villain. Towards the end though. the plot turns on it's head. Expect a perfectly thrilling twist in the tale.
Well, even if this is a copy, the plot and an interesting cast of stars makes us look forward to it!
