Saif's career began from DCH if success or critical acclaim are criteria. He was nothing more than an effeminate sidekick earlier. All the time laughed at and labelled male version of Sharmila Tagore!

He doesn't have much BO pull on his own. I can't remember any solo Saif hit apart from Hum Tum and LAK (correct me if I have missed any film!).

Whatever limelight he enjoys is due to his family and high profile girlfriend. As a celebrity too I don't find him interesting.

He's rated just as much as he deserves. Neither overrated nor underrated...perhaps gets a little more attention than he actually deserves but rating is okay.

Underrated? If he gave like ten great performances and was still ignored, then it could mean he is underrated.

But he just gave one Omkara, just like his own begum gave just one Jab We Met.

I don't think he's overrated. He is a really good actor.

Phantom has a lot of competition, Bang Bang and PC's movie are also releasing on that same day so i don't expect it to collect too much @ BO.

No he's not overrated. His films are not full masala films like Srk and Salman..he does different kind of films like AV and GGG. I personally loved loved GGG..it's a really underrated movie. Haven't laughed so hard I a. long time..GGG is hilarious.

What hurts Saif's boxoffice pull is his experimentation..audiences don't know what to except from him. But he usually gets a hit when he does love stories and masala films eg Race, Race 2, LAK, Coctail, and many of his rom coms with Rani and PZ were a hit I believe.,correct me if am wrong.

Agent Vinod was an experiment gone wrong Erotic Granny. 😕 Wish he had given more weight to the story and Bebo was wasted. Saif has done a lot of commercial movies, but somehow he is overexposed. 😉 Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic was a flop with Rani. And all his movies with Preity were 100% successful.
